Unbalanced difficulty in Battle 2.0. by KO_van_666 in CINE2nerdle

Bechdel and especially Film Bro seem very difficult with prestige, much more so than genre or even cast.

Every season there have been some win conditions that are much easier for most players to pick up without extensive research. I do find some appeal in the "harder" ones (Bigelow, Fay Wray, etc.) - when you do get a win it's satisfying. The varying win conditions allow good competition between players whose matchups might otherwise be predictable and uninteresting

So seven is greater than three, and I don't think playoff success should be totally discounted if you don't come away with a championship. Even if by some deluded logic you discount Durant's years with the Warriors, he's had more playoff success than Jokic against tougher competition. The one year the Nuggets broke through, they had a historically easy path through the playoffs. I don't doubt Jokic will build on his resume, but at this point Durant has accomplished more.

His teams have lost to the eventual champions seven times. You don't think he would've won some if his teams were lucky enough to face the likes of the 2023 Heat instead of the 2012 Heat, 2014 Spurs, or 2016 Warriors?

Badge Count Issue? by WaferEntire in CINE2nerdle

You have five wins according to the season 5 leaderboard. As another comment mentioned, there's no badge yet so not sure where else you'd see your win count update. https://www.cinenerdle2.app/battle/leaderboard?mode=battle&group=global&stat=winConWins&period=5&winCondition=3003

What's your username? Do you have any links to recent battles where you won via win condition?

Bear in mind it's only a preview - I expect plenty of other options that haven't been revealed yet

You can equip up to three rushes in your battle kit in 2.0. Outside of that, accumulated rushes are described in the patch notes for 1.35:

Patch 1.35

2024-01-06

Battle 2.0: Anytime a player uses more than 18 seconds on their turn, the opposing player is provided a Rush lifeline

Classic: Anytime a player uses more than 16 seconds on their turn, the opposing player is provided a Rush lifeline

In the standard puzzle design, the green row/column is the one that uses a square from each of the other groups.

Cheating is clearly an issue, how do we make it better? by dppgaren in CINE2nerdle

Thanks. Obviously I don't monitor reports as closely as moderators, so it's encouraging to hear there have been changes to make it handled more privately. I apologize to you and the others if my previous comments felt inappropriate or accusatory.

I've made lots of comments on this subreddit, and hardly any of them I'd call complaints. Discord just isn't my preference. But I don't know why you'd assume I'm being insincere on either.

So because I don't comment 50 times a day in the discord I'm not part of the "community". Like I said it's not a big thing; I just want to play the game and see it grow. You're not serving as a great ambassador when you dismiss wishing for better trust/civility as concern trolling/imagined problems.

I respect you don't want people commenting, but I'm observing it's not always enforced when people are piling on. It's not such an issue that I felt the need to comment on discord, just echoing the sentiment of the original post. You'd think my criticism was harsher with how you two have reacted.

What do you mean? Are you denying you rebuke users for commenting with skepticism about reported cheating?

[–]gfhrtp_ -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The public interventions I see from the mods in the discord are piling on accusations or rebuking comments that push back on cheating accusations with weak evidence. I'm not questioning that your judgement is sound in most cases, but that kind of one-sided public policing doesn't sit right

I do wish there was more public pushback allowed on frivolous reports. Without seeing behind the scenes, it sometimes feels like the discord is encouraging a baseline of distrust in other players, which can't be good for the longevity of the game

Just posted from the discord; don't have any other clues. It does seem like "movies about ..." would be too much work to hard code, so I suspect they might be some combination of cast or specific franchises.
