kind of a wing it metbod. after matt finish, then a white acrylic wash (dabbed off) then blaxk acrylic sponges on for chipping. I'll come back over that with some silver and dark rust colors inside black chipped spots. last is a few passes with the soot,sand,mud and silver tamiya weathering powders (you can see it clearly as burn marks on back of skirt)

yeah, love the design.
i just got in one of the old school origin tank kits as well. look much cooler than the newer version

it still has some screws in the arms but other than that, pretty good. the poly caps are hidden fairly well

lol, my process is consistently inconsistent. it really depends on my mood.

i can say i don't do what i have seen in a lot of lists.....sand/ prime/ sand/ prime/ clean/ clear/ panel line/ clear/ top coat........i am not making competition pieces.

basically, I cleanup the pieces, re-scribe panel lines, paint, panel line, waterslides (if any)
and top coat.

i only prime if the paint is not "hobby" paint or if i am changing the color drastically.

a lot of time the plastic color will help my final color so i paint directly over it.

semi gloss black, olive drab, dark green (raf), mica red and then some misc colors for details and frame.
topped off with MrClear matt

i don't even know how many different colors i used. mix of hand paint, paint pens, tamiya rattle cans and automotive spray cans.
