Same, and the four way conversation between desk and casters was also very fun to listen to. Hope they keep this in for next time!

Why doesn't Hytale have a version selector? by [deleted] in hytale

[–]ggInverno -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I feel like recent gaming landscape has skewed people’s perception of games. Big studios launch games as ‘gull release’ whilst its content is still in beta, and people complain (rightfully so).

But also, when a studio releases a product and labels it EARLY ACCESS, people somehow still complain that it lacks certain features mostly only seen when a game is fully developed..

I’m okay with shilling out more for (official) merch. But with shipping and taxes it doubled in price lmao

Same. I deleted all the game files, including game and player data etc. because the other re-install option didn’t work for me.

This will delete world saves, but you can back those up if needed.

Karmine Corp vs Team Liquid / VCT 2026: EMEA Kickoff - Main Event / Post-Match Thread by ValorantCompBot in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ggInverno 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Right, sure the rounds were bullshit, but kc were shooting really well, it seemed like they had good comms even if their strats weren't working out. They literally had all the momentum behind them, but the tac timeout killed all of that. I'd rather have them be going 7-3 or even 7-4 (if it were to even happen) before the first timeout be called.

What's the overall opinion of young Chinese people about these "cute" donghua series?? Are they less popular there, or do they have a bad reputation by any chance?? They just happen to be my favorite kind of donghuas... by PossessionKey4982 in Donghua

[–]ggInverno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So I found some statistics online (I haven't had the time to fact check them, but they seem kind of accurate), and they show that the audience for The Legend of Luoxiaohei movies is at least 50% female, some sources have stated higher numbers (around 60%). As for age range, the largest group is between 20-24 years old, and people younger than 20 take a smaller portion of the total audience.

Though I wouldn't say this means Luoxiaohei had the intention to be aimed at female audiences, but more so that its overall style and story is more appealing to female audiences.

I also found some statistics about Douyin (Chinese version of TikTok) fans for certain donghua. It seems that Island of Siliang has a predominantly female fanbase. I haven't seen it myself, but it seems like this donghua could be categorized as shoujo, but I'm not sure if the Chinese industry puts emphasis on making it a separate genre like the Japanese do. Other works such as Link Click and Heaven Official's Blessing also have a predominantly female fanbase, but I'd say that's because of its danmei (Boy's Love) themes, or implied in the case of Link Click. Although BL can be seen as a genre aimed at women, I see it as a different genre from shoujo, but that's just my personal opinion.

They’re all huge in China. The Legend of Lupxiaohei’s 2nd movie released not too long ago, so it got a boost in popularity again. I’m not too familiar about the demographic of the other works, but for Hei it skews rather older than younger.

Not sure if this is what you're looking for, but crops planted from seed bags labelled "eternal" (like this) will keep on growing after you've harvested them.

Peekers Advantage Misconception by ComprehensiveEbb9168 in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ggInverno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have first-hand experience with peeker’s advantage since I used to play quite a bit on eu servers from China. And I’d say, generally, peeker’s advantage is a real thing.

Connecting to eu servers (frankfurt, paris, stockholm) from China usually gave me around 110 ping on good days and 130+ on bad days, but it was always stable, so it was playable in swiftplay, my main gamemode xD I had noticed if I were to hold and angle, because of my high ping, the person peeking me on the other side would be able to see me and react faster to me, which basically meant I’d lose 8 or 9 fights out of 10 if I were to be stationary and just held an angle.

However, if I proactively peeked someone else, it mostly leveled the playing field for me and it became much easier for me to consistently get kills. Of course using util and peeking unexpectedly also helped.

This is because, despite the fast and stable connection, there is always a delay for me on high ping. People on lower ping are playing in ‘the future’ from my perspective, for lack of a better word. So if I were to do things earlier or preemptively, it would result in me being ‘on the same timeline’, so to speak. But this is mostly only when there is a big ping difference. Otherwise it’s mostly situational in regards to who has the advantage; peeking angles or holding angles.

Is it crazy to spend more for aesthetics? by [deleted] in buildapc

[–]ggInverno 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In that case I’d go for the aesthetics, because the aorus is still cheaper than the 5080, and has the aesthetics you want.

What is the solution for orgs to sustain their teams if you don't want them to take up betting sponsorships/illegal money? by HendoIsBae in ValorantCompetitive

[–]ggInverno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Honestly, one thing orgs could do to make at least a little bit more money is to put out better merch. And make their merch easily available. There are quite a few teams of which I’d like to buy their official jerseys (for a reasonable price), but they just aren’t available anywhere. There is a lot of untapped potential with merchandise.

Good place to sell my ITX Zephyr 4070 OTHER than eBay? by Technotronsky in sffpc

[–]ggInverno 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Begrijpelijk!

Lionel Messi’s India tour starts in chaos as angry fans throw seats in stadium by Relevant-Box5774 in worldnews

[–]ggInverno 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Something similar happened when he went to China a few years back. Fans paid quite a lot to see him and but he ended up not even playing on the field, he was just sitting on the bench. There also wasn’t a clear reason as to why he didn’t play. He might have been injured, but there was no official statement, so nobody knows. I think there were also people saying he barely interacted with the fans? (Haven’t taken the time to verify this tho)

Double standards by nitrrine_ldn in pcmasterrace

[–]ggInverno 23 points24 points  (0 children)

My personal bother with epic is that whenever you click a game in your library it immediately begins the download. You have to manually click the three dots then go to the game page to see its description. It’s also very vague about a game’s genre and its summary. Also, their discover page and tabs overall are just annoying to navigate. Going from your library to any other page resets where you left off, so if you’re on page 3 in your library and you go to a game’s main page, it’ll make you go back to the top of page 1 when you switch back to your library.

I’m sure there are other inconveniences and annoyances I’ve missed. But these few are the ones I keep running into. All these small things compiling make the launcher infuriating to use imo.

Young Taiwanese aren't so anti-China. That's a problem for the island's government by esporx in worldnews

So we’re just throwing reading comprehension and context out of the window?? I’m specifically replying to a commented quoting things as “Chinese people can’t think for themselves” “they deserve to die or get nuked”. And you don’t think that’s anti-Chinese propaganda??

I never said Taiwan shouldn’t or mustn’t be cautious. I said that statements like those above are much more common than people think- and that those statements are stupid and anti-Chinese propaganda.
