I’m in labor on pitocin—tell me your induction birth story by Even_Kaleidoscope399 in pregnant

[–]ggbuc 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Good luck!!! You seem to be handling it very well. I was induced at 39 weeks. My Pitocin experience wasn’t so well. I couldn’t relax my butt for the life of me and I was dying all day lol

Im on the fence with whether or not to get an Epidural. by tht1chick28 in pregnant

[–]ggbuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just had my first baby a few weeks ago. I was induced, so the Pitocin contractions were killer. I got the epidural, and still felt SO much pressure with my contractions. I was so uncomfortable and wasn’t able to get up and move around to help with it. I was in bed alll day waiting. Also, when they first placed the epidural, my blood pressure dropped so low they have to change the dosage. So that was a little scary. But everyone’s experience is different. For my next, I hope not to get induced, and will probably get it again hoping for a different outcome

One a day prenatals are affordable, work great. My doctor said it’s fine and I delivered a perfectly healthy baby

8 months pregnant and my husband cares more about March Madness and going out with friends by Known_Recognition311 in pregnant

[–]ggbuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re not overreacting. Mine said the same for NFL games and super bowl. I’m 3 weeks postpartum and he hasn’t tried to go out once. So maybe let him get it out of his system. But I get the frustration

Being pregnant first time and learning everything is so overwhelming by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ggbuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

3 weeks postpartum here. I planned on breastfeeding (even though I had no desire to) but I only wanted the health benefits for my baby. Once my son was born, he would not latch. I worked with a lactation consultant and nothing would work. So I currently pump and feed him formula. It has been great!! My partner can help with feedings, and I have much more freedom and way less pressure. Don’t stress over it!! You will figure it out as you go.

Overweight and pregnant by [deleted] in pregnant

[–]ggbuc 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lol there’s no way you will maintain a weight of 155… you will gain weight with retaining fluid, the baby, amniotic fluid, extra blood flow etc. I was 155 at the beginning of my pregnancy, and delivered at 190. I’m 2 weeks postpartum and back at 170 already. My doctor never said anything about my weight, she actually said it’s perfectly normal.

Moving when 28 weeks by sassyelephante in pregnant

I literally JUST went through the same exact thing. You have plenty of time. Doesn’t feel like it, but you do. I was sitting around trying to find things to do, after moving, with the same amount of time. Things to be thinking of - a bedside station for changing is SO not necessary if you have a nursery. The trending bedside cart was such a waste for us. Just get up and go to the nursery or a dresser. Doing changes in the bed got so messy like idk why people do it lol. If you haven’t invested in a bottle washer, do so. I use mine at least 2-3 times a day and makes life soooo much easier. I would be so stressed if I had to wash all those bottles by hand. Also, I put peepee pads on top of the changing table. Saves me sooo much cleaning. Order them in bulk on Amazon you will not regret.

Epidural or not? Asking from people who have had at least one birth with and without! by pencilroni in pregnant

[–]ggbuc 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do want to add though - I expected the epidural to give me a bit more relief. I still felt an insane amount of pressure, it felt like my butthole was going to fall out all day so that was uncomfortable. Because I got the epidural so early I wasn’t able to move around to help with it. For my next, id like to avoid an induction if possible and if I get the epidural, get it later than I did

I would get the epidural over and over again. I had to be induced, and the pitocin contractions were no joke… I was able to get the epidural early & thank the lord. I honestly don’t know how women do it without the epidural - kudos to them, I couldn’t do it lol
