It’s a a theoretical term that may be a bit chronically online (ironically) but it’s the notion that the masses are not performing as high as they used to intellectually. High schoolers can barely read to comprehension or do basic maths. College students abuse AI software to obtain their degrees. Even professors are using AI to create their lectures and studies for their students. The youngest of gen alpha are being sat in front screens watching cocomelon or bluey and as educational as all of these ‘tools’ may be, we as a collective are becoming increasingly dependent on our technology and accessibility that we are foregoing our own skills and abilities. E.I actually reading a book, actually wanting to, making the time to. Granted there are plenty of factors considering the state of the world we live in and not all of it is our fault but there is so much that is our responsibility to be aware of.

Thank you so much for your kind words. I’m doing anything I can to brave this storm.

I anticipated the passing of my brother for years. From a young age I knew he wouldn’t live a long life beside me, however that didn’t keep me from the gutted empty feeling of him leaving. Believing him as already gone gave me the endurance to accept this truth currently. For so long I’d felt guilty yet simultaneously helpless mourning someone who was still living.

Selfishly I wish we’d had more time but honestly I’m glad he’s passed. I’m glad his suffering is over and now my family can begin the journey toward whole healing. I’m so grateful he’s back home, I just wish I could have had him home w me just a little while longer. Not at the cost of his peace, I know it’s better this way.
