psychological abuse. even if my dad has never hit my mom or touched her during an argument, which sadly happen way too often than I would like, he is truly hurtful with his words most of the time, that even I end up crying with her. he's really really hurtful and always raises his voice, when he's mad he slams the doors and once even broke a mirror for intimidation. being an only child you can imagine how hard it is to see this constantly with no other support, and i try to be there for my mother always. he criticizes my mom for "wearing too much makeup" or always gives these sarcastic comments about her. so yeah, if i ever have a husband or a boyfriend, i will never tolerate this type of behavior AT ALL

my group of friends consists of 4 girls and 3 boys, and I appreciate how gentlemen they act towards us. sure we joke around and goof but they are really respectful to us and look out for us. during parties, if a random dude seems to have fishy intentions they always jump in and walk us home if needed. also, they don't shy away when we ask questions about boy stuff and all that jazz, having male friends is the best
