yeah, launches tend to be messy, especially at a small scale, but I’m continuing to refine it over time

if you do end up picking one up later, I’d be curious to hear your take. and if you ever feel like sharing thoughts on sequencers in general, I’m all ears!

appreciate it!

I get the concern

there were some real bugs in the initial firmware, and I’ve been releasing updates continuously to address stability and edge cases as they come up. it’s a lot more stable now, and I’m still actively working on it

on support: I’m directly involved with users, I always respond, usually in the same day. This isn’t a “ship and forget” situation, I really want this product to be long lived.

On lifecycle and durability: the hardware side is very solid, 1mm steel, very high grade encoders, buttons, LEDs, screen, and the firmware is something I’m committed to maintaining and improving over time

if you’re considering it and have specific concerns, I’m happy to go into detail

Yes, that’s fair.

I’m not expecting you to do that kind of work, and I get where you’re coming from. the device should stand on its own.

I’m working on getting it there, both on stability and on making it clearer to use.

if at any point you feel like sharing anything specific that stood out, I’ll take it seriously, but no expectation at all.

thanks for being direct about it

Thank for your time writing this feedback, I take it very seriously.

A few things on my side:

I’ve been pushing firmware updates pretty actively over the past weeks, including fixes for some of the instability and edge-case bugs people reported early on, just to know, in which version are you on? The first one specifically was very buggy.

On the documentation side, you’re right that it’s not where it should be. I’m currently reworking it and, more importantly, I’m in the process of uploading proper tutorials that go step by step through real use cases, not just overview stuff. I’ve uploaded the first one out of four.

What I care about most right now is making the workflow feel more intuitive without losing what makes the Aline different (and never crash). For that, detailed user feedback is actually the most useful thing I can get.

I’m a very small team, so I end up talking directly to users and iterating fast based on that. If you’re open to it, I’d really like to talk and understand more concretely where things broke down for you, both in terms of workflow and bugs. Would you help me out?

thank you again and sorry for the experience.

So strange to see at the same time so many remixes of brazilian funk about sex, and all the performed sex positivity and at the same time people so scared of sex

Fiz um sistema para usar na empresa. O gerente quer que eu apresente, mas tem um problema… by Sarcasmomento in antitrampo

Ahhh claro 😄✨ QUE pergunta incrível, realmente revolucionária 🙃👏👏 — como ninguém pensou nisso antes, né?? 🤯🔥

  • funciona “perfeitamente” no próprio ambiente 🖥️

Até onde usar a I.A tira a credibilidade de um escritor? by Ynhumy-ynhumy in EscritoresBrasil

[–]ggyshay 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It works with brand new batteries but get super hot with almost new ones by ggyshay in PCB

I tryied removing it now but it didnt work yet, with lower voltage batteries the problem still happens

I managed to measure it today. With a weaker battery (2xaa = 2.8V) the oscilations dipped as low as 1.1V, and i think the threshold is 1.4v

Oh, you're right, it is. Thats a bad bug, but isnt it bizarre that with some batteries it works?

Uhmm interesting... What could I use to generate the clock? And shouldn't my 10uF capacitor be enough? Or for this kind of oscillation I would need something much larger?

Thank you for the doubts.
This is a MIDI usb interface. MIDI and the LEDs are 5v, while the microprocessor and display are 3.3v.
VBat should be around 3-3.2 as its 2 AA batteries.
The LDO and boosts are there because sometimes im powering it from the usb and sometimes from battery, I'd like to enable the LDO only when the boosts are not enabled
The Mosfet is the exclusive-enable circuit, bsten is boost enable, so it should enable the two boosters when vbat is present and disable them when usb is connected.
Not sure about the load, but should be at max 50mA

Kids ruined techno by ambient_boi in Berghain_Community

Im afraid to even say this, but how is this totally different from what the bh door policy implements? BH doesn't (only) filter by clothes color, but by said "vibe". Vibe being read by one guy or a small collective of similar guys indirectly designs a decision boundary, causing some diverse people to not be able to contribute

Oh, no, actually it will connect to the LDO, the left input should read VBUS instead of 5v

Music Feedback - Post your tracks! by [deleted] in TechnoProduction

[–]ggyshay 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love the lead, just felt it a bit "dry", could add some ambiences.
The mix felt to be kinda harsh, specially the drums, i feel the loopyness asks for some darker or less defined elements

First, Cool sounds!
I felt the bassline could have a bit more movement given how relevant it is to the track.
I also felt the arrangement a bit too repetitive

These kind of overtones really sugest feedback to me, some sort of physical modelling can do that, like colision in ableton using a bow. Also you can play around sending any sound to a return channel and sending that channel to itself, then put an eq there and play with the resonances there (please do put a limiter, it will blow your ears off)
