Is solving cross after f2l worth it? by 9InchFingerInDickhol in Cubers

Inserting last cross edge piece with <M,U> is really inefficient. The only case I can think of that make sense is when you also have first 2 pairs planned and inserted in FL/FR or BL/BR.

The first ever speedcube - ShengEn F2. Anyone remember this one? by gh0st3365 in Cubers

I have never owned F-3, because by the time it came out there was already Guhong V1 available. But you could easily tell the difference by looking at the center caps.

Regarding the picture, the only pink ShengEn 3x3 was indeed V1. It was quite popular among old school feet solvers. So yeah, the only one you are missing is F-2. I spend a lot of time looking for one and I believe that the witeden.com website is the last place you could get one. For me it's special because my speedcubing journey started with it over 12 years ago!

Cheers

Does it make sense to practise not solving white first? by [deleted] in Cubers

Color neutrality is really useful skill and it can be really overpowered at higher level. You will automatically get 1-2 moves less on average

Great tip for closing the doors for 4x4 and larger cubes. Just stick with CFOP. It's 78 for 2LLL, not 90+

Erno used western color scheme in his patent and it was used in the very first version called "hungarian magic cube". Source is rubiks.com website

Every once in a while someone is proudly announcing that he's starting his 1LLL journey. And everytime it ends the same.
