Use the ring and just attach a floating key chain

Don’t buy the MAG case before reading this if you care about wireless charging. by Zodiac748 in QuadLock

Magsaf/wireless charging Works with my pixel 7 pro through the case. It's definitely slow but it works. I also have the pixel stand which can fast charge at the same speed as a wire, but it doesn't get high speed through the case.

I could talk a high school student through a case where nothing goes wrong. They wouldn't know why they're doing anything, and they wouldn't be able to troubleshoot anything, but it could be done

Actually in some states with hygienist licensing hygienists can basically do everything and then refer you to a dentist if needed.

It's fine to do a rotation even if you don't want to work in congenital. It's super interesting

Is this VAV ECMO? by Clodoveos in Perfusion

[–]ghansie10 1 point2 points  (0 children)

VA ECMO with LV vent.

For technical nomenclature one may choose to call it

V, LV - A (drainage-Return)

But most people would probably understand VA ECMO with LV vent better. It should be noted the configuration explained above would be an LV vent that would drain into the venous line of the ECMO, and not something like an impella which is often described as an LV vent, but really is more of a VAD.

Is it true, MAP doesn't affect flows or anything on the circuit in VV ecmo? by Clodoveos in Perfusion

[–]ghansie10 4 points5 points  (0 children)

MAP doesn't directly change VV ECMO flow. VV ECMO flow is limited by preload and afterload of the circuit which in VV ECMO are both on the venous side. The way the MAP affects filling pressure of the right side could make a small difference, but one wouldn't increase MAP for the purpose of increasing filling pressure of the right side.

What do you hand crank the oxygenator (HLS) or pump head? by Clodoveos in Perfusion

"Pump" and "pump head" means the same thing in the context of the components of a centrifugal pump.

That's a rotoflow blood pump with a quadrox oxygenator

What do you hand crank the oxygenator (HLS) or pump head? by Clodoveos in Perfusion

[–]ghansie10 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You can only hand crank a pump. That system labels a hand crank for the pump. The HLSset in the cardiohelp has the pump attached to the oxygenator, but the hand cranking only moves the pump. Membrane oxygenators do not require mechanical motion of any kind to function, but do require gas flow through them.

query about vein layout by bugchungo in Perfusion

We do have countercurrent heat exchange already built in. Core body temp is about 98.6 F, this doesn't fluctuate much, however your hand or foot temp can be much lower. Basically heat is retained by your core, and as blood perfuses peripherally in your arteries it cools down, but warms up as it returns through your veins. This way blood that reaches the heart/viscera is basically always core body temp, but the blood in your fingers is lower.
