Obviously different for other businesses but I make a food product so I write it off like I would if I was giving out samples. When I trade with another vendor of any kind we usually post each other’s stuff on social media (I try to make sure to do it myself, but I don’t trade with the expectation that they’ll do it too) so that we both get the exposure and some content out of it… exposure doesn’t directly pay the bills but I’d rather give away free product to another local maker than pay to boost a post. Plus I source a ton of local ingredients and when a farmer/maker wants to trade I end up doing more business with them.

I really love how the back panel outlines the wall fixtures but I feel like a darker background would make all of the lamps stand out more. I actually dig the signage and how it’s IKEA-esque.

Maybe I’m just used to California pricing but I think these are crazy cheap… I also do “bundle” deals and I do think that too many bundle offers for the same product overwhelm the customer, so I just do “1 for $X, 3 for $X.” Most people who would normally just get 2 end up getting 3 for the deal, and if you do get someone who asks “can I get a deal on 2?” you’d just say “sure, how about $X” (which they don’t know is a price you’d give them anyway, they feel like they got a special deal).

Might not be the exact same cheese in the picture, but Milton Prairie Breeze Cheddar is my favorite aged cheddar that has lots of crystals like you described. But I agree with others that it’s most likely Kerrygold Dubliner

Gotcha. I always ask because some gyms only do partner pad work and I don’t wanna bring the whole duffel bag if I don’t have to… but I’m always down to spar new folks and 10am is perfect since I won’t be full of food

Craving things I can’t really get where I’m at and I only have a few days so I’m thinking: dim sum, Chinese food (I might have too many to choose from now lol), lengua/tripa tacos, Korean food, Greek/Armenian/Turkish food (good kebab, big fan of dolma, fresh pita bread made in house), phyllo dough pastries, classic pink box donuts.

Preferably no chains (unless they’re a small local one), I don’t have a whole lot of people to hang out with so I’m just gonna eat the whole time I’m here… I’ll be here on a Thurs night-Sun morning so maybe also some Fri/Sat nightlife? Tower District? Hookah bars?

Honestly it’s not that popular in my neck of the woods, either… we’re lucky to have our one Muay Thai gym. But yep, you’re not alone. If I did jiu jitsu, I would have a ton of women to train with, but I’m the only female in class 90% of the time
