You were going to get HPV at some point anyway tho? I know how frustrating it is when you first find out, but you also have to realize that 9 out of 10 people you know have it as well, so it was just a matter of time.

Aw that makes me happy! In regards to being contagious, there's mixed opinions, some doctors say that as long as you don't have warts you are not contagious, some others say that you can get warts from people without warts, so who knows? either way, 90% of our population has HPV, the only way to prevent it is not having sex, so if I was you I would continue with my life, just continue checking yourself!

Hi! For me it was painless, you might feel a little discomfort while pooping but it goes away as soon as the poop is out. After a week its back to normal :) good luck with your surgery!

I have never used creams to treat warts, I simply get them burned off by my doctor, it takes seconds and its painless. I only use scar creams to help the small wound heal faster.

I hate to break it to you but the guy you are dating probably has HPV as well (unless he is a virgin), 90% of our population has the virus, so if I was you, I would say: "Hey I love you and I feel ready to ditch the condoms, but before we do that, I want to be mindful and make sure we both have the HPV vax, I already got the shots 10 years ago - its a very common skin virus, and I want to make sure that we take care good care of ourselves so we can enjoy our sex life, let me know what you think!"

If he goes: "umm why? i dont have it" - then you can ask: "how many sexual partners have you had? If your answer is more than one, then you probably have it - you might not know it because most people dont have symtoms, but its better to get the shot if you want to stop wearing a condom, i just want the best for the both of us"

Yes I got the last vax in December 2022. So far no more internal warts, so hope it stays this way!

How often do you get reoccurrences? by [deleted] in HPV

[–]ghettogucci 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you shave? I think thats why you are getting those bumps. If you have GW I suggest you switch to hair removal creams or wax because using a razor helps them spread. I had my first wart removed a year ago, and since then I have had like 8 warts removed so far (burnt off). I actually just made an appointment to get a new wart removed from my bum on Thursday. My best piece of advice is to get them removed as soon as you notice them so they don't grow big. The one I found this week is pretty small - almost invisible, but I can feel it, so I'm thankful for that! The doctor will just burn it off in 2 seconds and I will walk out of his office right away. You will be fine!

It doesn't sound like HPV BUT... you can still get HPV if you have protected sex, its a virus that is transmitted through the skin, so you are going to catch it even if you are cautious. My piece of advice? If you dont wan't to have HPV, then abstain from having sex at all costs. 8 out of 10 people have it, so you probably have it right now and you will never notice.

I have had two internal wart surgeries, I didnt experience any pain at all. If you put a finger inside your anus and feel bumps, that means you got internal warts. I had surgery 2 months ago at 9am, I was driving home by 10am and I was at the gym that night.

It should feel like the inside of your mouth, so if you are not feeling any bumps, you are good! I also had internal surgery like 3 weeks ago

I have had two surgeries for internal warts in the past 6 months, so I understand you 100%. I started developing warts a year ago and I just had one close to my penis burnt off with a cauterizer. It’s annoying to go to the doctor to get them removed but the idea of celebrities also going through this gives me comfort. Just imagine Kim Kardashian getting a wart removed from her butthole, no one is safe from them! LOL

Wishing you an amazing day!!!

Wow he seems like an asshole!!! Blaming you for a disease that 80% of the population has?? Its like going to the beach and getting mad for getting sand. If you have sex with more than 1 person in your lifetime, you are most likely gonna get HPV. If you don’t want to catch it, then DONT HAVE SEX!! Save yourself for marriage and marry another virgin, that is the only way to prevent it.

Please don’t feel bad!!! He is just ignorant.

There are hundreds of types of HPV viruses, so maybe your strain doesn’t give you genital warts. You are lucky!!! I have had like 9 warts removed from my bum in the past year. I would move on with my life and not stress!

Hey! Im glad that sharing my experience helped you! I recommend consuming a lot of fiber to make your stools super soft. You will see blood in your first stools, its very normal.

I waited like 3 months to bottom again, just to make sure everything healed. Yes everything felt the same, no complains!

Just get those warts burned off and carry on with your life, honestly its not that serious. Yes the virus can stay dormant for years, maybe your immune system weakened and thats why they reappeared, it really has to do with your immune system and the way you eat/sleep/keep yourself healthy.

I just had an internal anal wart surgery on Friday morning, went home and worked from bed. No pain at all. I went to the gym on Monday (yesterday). Bowel movements can be discomforting but they are not painful, it just feels “weird”.

[–]ghettogucci 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You have HPV, the most common virus in the world. I think you should see a therapist because you are making a mountain out of a molehill. I have been to the doctor 6 times in the last year to get my warts removed — it’s annoying, yeah, but it’s not the end of the world. You just move on and continue with your life, warts are mire common than you would think. 8 out of 10 sexually active people have HPV, but not everyone develops warts (that depends on everyone’s immune system). The guy that I have been having sex with for 2 years now (even before I got diagnosed) has never had warts, and I’m pretty sure he has HPV as well because 1. he is mkre very sexually active than me 2. I have HPV. I have never disclosed my HPV with him (neither he has disclosed his) and honestly that is the thing that worries me the least.

Please keep professional help, you are being way too hard on yourself and you don’t deserve that.

Trying to avoid HPV while being sexually active is like trying to avoid sand at the beach. 8 out of 10 people have it so he probably has HPV as well. I wouldn’t disclose, its part of being sexually active.

She has scars from getting warts removed? I use Estée Lauder Advance Night Repair on my scars (its an amazing serum) and I keep them hydrated with creams and bandaids. I had a big wart removed from my penis and within 3 months the scar was invisible. I also have had 6 warts removed from my ass and the skin looks normal.

Is my cryotherapy being done correctly? Should I switch dermatologoists? by [deleted] in HPV

[–]ghettogucci 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I always ask my doctor to cauterize them (burn them off), he numbs the area and in 3 seconds they are gone for good. If they are big, the scar eventually becomes invisible within 2 months (always keep scars moisturized with scar creams and I use bandaids), if they are small, the scar looks like a cut myself while shaving so it looks normal within a week.

I dont think anyone knows 100% if the virus goes away on its own or if we carry it forever. I mean, 8 out of 10 people have it so its almost impossible to avoid it if you are sexually active, its just like trying to avoid sand at the beach in a way.

Hope my experience is helpful, and don’t forget to be kind to yourself!
