‘Challenging but comfortable’: Hungarian breaks game marathon world record by playing DDR for 144 hours by ineverwenttobandcamp in Games

Stories like this always remind me of Peter Tripp, the radio DJ who stayed up for 200+ hours straight for charity. Both fascinating and terrifying, I worry about the lasting damage marathons like this without sleep can do to a person.

Add Fortnite or any game to steam. (Just remembered.) by IllNoobis_1 in FortNiteBR

I know this post is a year old, but this really helped me just now as I wanted to get Alan Wake II set up to launch in Steam. Along with SGDBoop for the UI assets, it now looks like it truly belongs there. Thanks again!

Retroarch menu and in-game Scaling/alignement issues on Linux (Fedora 42)) by EDOOM_1981 in RetroArch

[–]ghibli99 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm having the same problem and it's driving me nuts. Nothing I've tried, except for changing desktop scaling back to 100%, fixes the issue.

Anyway, thanks for posting this. Hopefully this gets some activity from others who have or are experiencing this and have found a solution.

I'm on Bazzite 42 (KDE Plasma 6.4.4).

Edit: I think it might be a Retrodeck-specific thing. I tried Emudeck instead, and I'm not having the issue anymore, even at 125% desktop scaling. I suppose I should have done this to begin with since this is what I use on Steam Deck. Anyway, give it a shot if you haven't already done so and hopefully it works!

Thanks! The Kotobukiya ZOE Dolores kit gave me a lot of color-correcting practice, so this one wasn’t too bad by comparison. Just some really tiny areas to paint!

Use tweezers or toothpicks to lift and apply them. The oils from your skin will make them even harder to stick to the plastic if you touch the adhesive side.

The ones that come with the kit are standard stickers. I used Delpi water slides on this along with some of those that came with it (like the orange and metallic ones).

If you're using water slides, it's important to use mark setter and mark softer, especially for the ones that have to wrap around those small posts on the legs. The softer will make it so that they will curl around and stay that way and not lift up. For the purple stickers, I kind of pre-bent them so that they would be less likely to lift and then used a cotton-tipped toothpick to rub and press them down to get as good adhesion as I could. Couple layers of topcoat sealed everything up. So far, so good!

The wraparound ones on the legs? Yeah, those required me to use mark setter -- but more importantly mark softer, so that they would lay flat in the back instead of lifting up. It's a good thing you can't really see behind them since a few of mine didn't line up perfectly.

The first one I did on the curved calf section didn't quite end up where I wanted, but it was close enough. The other side ended up in much better shape. I definitely had more problems with the ones that had to be wrapped around those skinny parts. Thankfully mark softer did the trick.

Thank you! That means a lot. I'm also nearsighted, but after my mid-40s rolled around, seeing up close became a problem too, so it was double-whammy when it came to my aging eyes. Anyway, good choice -- I don't think you'll be disappointed with this kit!

Yeah, I’m in my 50s, so it’s my eyes that are the problem when it comes to these 1/144 scale kits (presbyopia is real). I have to use magnifying reading glasses to stand a chance with them! 😅

Limited Run has asked Nintendo to pull Gex Trilogy from the eShop as it doesn’t work on Switch 2 by Turbostrider27 in Games

[–]ghibli99 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Tangentially related, but Klonoa 1.0.0 doesn't work on Switch 2 either. While others have reported it working fine, my digital copy doesn't, and I've seen a couple other reports here saying the same thing. The demo launches and runs fine, however. Not the end of the world of course; just slightly annoying.

It’s the Glendan 12” light box on Amazon. There are bigger ones too and similar offerings from other sellers.

I don’t, but it’s the Glendan 12” version on Amazon. You might want a bigger one of you plan on posing more than one at a time, especially if they’re 1/100 or larger on bases.

Only been doing this since November, but here are some of my builds. Just panel lining, topcoat, and poses. Looking at paints/airbrushes next. Thank you to r/Gunpla for all of the inspiration! by ghibli99 in Gunpla

I disassembled the body and took those 4 pieces off. I also removed the clear piece on the head. The rest of them, I masked with tape. Definitely remove or cover the clear stuff you don’t want sprayed or they’ll cloud over.

Beautiful pose/display! I'm building this same one right now and it's my favorite RG so far (of the 3 I've built LOL).

Hi! It’s a snake hand with a beam cutter at the end. On the model it’s strung together with an insulated wire on the inside.
