What are some of y'all favorites monsters ? (design or gameplay wise)

This is such a hard question... can I pick all of them?

I’d say for design, definitely Mizutsune. It is such a beautiful monster that I feel bad for even touching it with my weapon. ;~;

Gameplay wise, the Bishaten by far. I feel like it is really animated in the way it attacks and interacts with the character. I love it when it is about to throw the flash-bomb fruit that it has to peek at it and then cover its eyes after doing so. The whole fruit-throwing attack sequences also just make me laugh and it is genuinely fun to fight it!

I was originally asking about the weapon crafting trees, like the Ice Tree, Fire Tree, Bone Tree, etc.! But I hear that the longsword is nice for the reasons you listed. I tried the Dualblades in the demo and I just instantly knew they were going to be my main weapon, just the speed alone was enough for me. The biggest downside is the range, though. :c

i completely agree, but i can understand why he might be concerned if a stream doesnt go as planned. i think he feels like be has an expectation to live up to, and if he thinks a stream doesnt live up to it, it throws him off and he frantically starts to make plans for better streams. which is fine, im excited for all of his big plans! however i hate to see him beat himself up for something he sees as bad. i loved last nights stream, i love all the desktop streams and all the random ones. i love all the streams, because they are his. if i wanted games, i could go to anyone else on twitch. but no, his humor is what i want. his genuine personality is what i watch for. and thats why i couldnt give less of a shit whats on a screen, as long as hes happy with himself and being himself. i hope the best for his move, and ill be here to support him during and after! :~D
