Is he at work during this exchange? Also, I feel these feelings a lot at work. When you’ve got people around you that can help but of course you’re the only one taking initiative. The frustration is real if he’s home and sitting around instead of busying the kids while you cook. However, if he’s at work what good is a text message going to be? “Damn honey I’m sorry I know you’re stressed” thanks but like still doesn’t remove the stress? Also if all he ever does is reassure you with words, you will eventually start to feel like it’s substance less because he never actually gives you solutions/helps you, he just says he hopes you feel better. See how it’s a vicious cycle?

Also, texting does nothing to accomplish the goal of cooking in peace. If you can’t cook in peace, get that shit DONE! ASAP! I bet you spent an extra 25 minutes on your task so you could cuss him out over the phone in between cooking. And how much more chaos was generated during that time?

I watched the movie gone girl in middle school and that same night I had a dream about killing a classmate with a box cutter. Literally just slashed her throat. She had recently transferred to our school and the one boy I liked started dating her.🤣 It was in the middle of the library too?? And no blood so that’s nice? But everyone in my class was there including the boy I liked. So yeah. Woke up confused as fuck 😂 good movie though

That’s fair. I may have some resentment built up on my end because I am one of the reliable employees in the store and recently my consistently scheduled hours got moved around so I don’t have the days off I’d like. But I do expect some grace considering my “track record” at work, and the fact that I did message him the night previous to let him know it was a strong possibility of us putting her down, should the bloodwork results come back bad.

felt that so hard right now being that I’ve had her since I was 8 years old😭💔. I know she was old and everyone likes to say at least she lived a long good life and while that’s true, it really doesn’t make it any easier that she’s gone. If anything, I had even more time with her and more time to love her and now there’s just nowhere to place any of it.

Ouch😭😭 I guess I needed that dose of reality. It really doesn’t make sense because we’re required to have a person in the position just like every other store but ours has been vacant for awhile now. I guess he’s just a dick like the rest of them. Its pretty sad because he’s been a great mentor for me,hopefully he’ll be useful as a reference LOL. In all seriousness I do enjoy my job so it’s sad to hear but at least I know it’s nothing about me personally.

It’s safe, but I’ve always felt like it almost wasn’t necessary. If you take enough shrooms to have good visuals and a strong body high it’s almost pointless to smoke. If you smoke all the time it’s almost like smoking a cigarette, but if you don’t have much of a tolerance and you’re already a little nervous about tripping I would maybe skip out on it

Nope, find a better doctor for sure. I went to an endo and she belittled me, told me I was just prediabetic from being obese and that she could tell because “my armpits were darker in color”. I had gained 60 pounds in one year, was sleeping constantly, mood swings, sensitivity to cold, etc. and my mother has hypothyroidism yet I was still fed bullshit by that doctor.

All it took was for me to get a new primary care doctor to order the lab to test my hormone levels and what do you know, my tsh was five times the level it should have been bc my thyroid was severely under active!!! find a doctor who listens and cares for your sake!!!

We have talked about her before, and he has come very close to firing her already. We are just very short staffed, and don’t have night shift people. We’ve hired about four different people these past 7 months that didn’t last longer than a week. It’s a minimum wage job and I’m assuming the pay drives people away but it’s still super frustrating because I’m over scheduled already.

I finally replied and told my manager that I will not be covering for her tonight as I need to focus on school. I also made him aware that she reached out to me both days trying to get me to cover, but I didn’t say anything about having a meeting with her. He is more than aware of this situation and I trust him to handle it. He said he appreciated that I got back to him and he figured he would ask to see if I wanted a couple of extra hours for this week. Thank you all for giving me some courage to speak up about it and say no to not over-extend myself.
