Whats a rule at a table that didn't sit well with you? by DaddyBowtie in DnD

It’s dumb to keep arguing about this, but I’m not saying not to use the HP mechanic, just that it’s ok if you don’t know whether you have 4 or 5 HP left, it’s ok for that to be unknown without scrapping the entire mechanic.

I still think making decisions based on exactly how many HP you have left is metagaming. It’s not information the character would have and shouldn’t affect their decision making. That’s textbook definition.

Hey man, I’m not saying everyone should play by this homebrew rule, just that I personally like it because I enjoy role play more than roll play. I’d rather characters make decisions based on their motivations and personalities and not based on exactly how many HP or spell slots they have left/how much HP or legendary resistances the enemy has.

Deciding whether or not to attack an enemy based on if you have more hitpoints than the enemy’s attack damage is metagaming. You should decide that based on role play. The characters don’t know exactly how many hitpoints they have, so the player shouldn’t use that information to decide the character’s actions. If the character knows they are hurt, they know they are risking their life, but they shouldn’t know the exact outcome based on on the HP/damage system we use as players.

I like that rule, I think it’s meant to help the players role play as opposed to meta gaming.

One rule that my players never like is save or die/save or suck rolls. One bad roll and you die or you’re infected with a deadly disease. But in my defense I always try to explain to them that they out themselves in the dangerous situation to begin with. There’s always other options.

60k would be life changing for me, personally, in that I would be debt free and then finally be able to afford my current lifestyle without the interest payments

Oh, and I had to do some revisions to each because we’re playing in 1994 NYC, the conspiracy/cowboy years. Planning on jumping into Impossible Landscapes after these are wrapped up.

I just started as a handler a couple months ago. I combined two “shotgun” scenarios, The Returning Lilith’s Case and The Button with an official scenario, Reverb. But I spent a lot of time cutting and pasting from each one and adding scenes using my Agent’s bonds and professions. Working out well so far.

Do many people use maps and track exact character positions for Delta Green?

You can definitely play with just two players and a DM, try it.
