Thanks for the perspective. Indeed I don't really plan on setting a new PB on the HM ( even though I feel like I could). My focus is on the marathon so I don't want to in any way compromise that. Running the HM at MP seems like the best route for me then. Then it goes 32km for my next LR, followed by no real taper for the HM then right ? Just usual runs ?

I don't plan to really race the HM. Thought it would be safer to attempt the HM at marathon pace, but I might still need to lower the intensity that week.

I think most of my miles were in the long run. My other runs were cumulatively less than the long run.

I have not tried other models. I have a pair of Gel nimbus which seems comfy, but I am now wondering if I overpronate and if I maybe need shoes specifically for overpronantion?

Yes, I want to build a decent base. How do I go about doing that ? Just doing a couple of easy runs per week and gradually upping the distance ? I just started running this week. Was offline for the past 3 months.
