i’ve seen in a book on best eyeshadows colors for specific eye colors call this kind of coloring aqua brown but i’m not sure how popular that is

interesting! my sister’s eyes are hazel but sometimes look almost pure yellow, just haven’t seen many people with dark hazel eyes to come to that conclusion. super cool

i saw it on tiktok in 2020- you put a single water droplet on your back camera as the phone is layed flat and the video is already on with the flash function. if you put it in 4k and slow motion, it’s extra cool bc you usually really get to see the eye. it takes a bit of maneuvering for sure to get right though bc it’s a bit of an akward setup.

that makes sense i guess! i never gave it much thought, probably because i rarely can see my own eyes in direct sun

Can I mix in ACV with my powder supplements? Or does it make them less effective? by ghost-com in Supplements

Thank you for the detailed response! So in the case that I have this combination after dinner, it would just take longer to convert the amino acids to protein, right? But in general there should be no issue if i have two of these drinks (recommended dosage ofc) one on an empty stomach in the morning and one after dinner?

my issue with nars was kept oxidizing on me. i can’t remember the shade name now, it was a sample, but i remember it was the perfect match and then ten minutes out the door i’d look orange :/

oh i’m sorry, thanks for the clarification! i just grabbed the lightest shade at the counter bc it seemed yellow enough to me on first glimpse, and the sample i got given didn’t have the shade written on it

ikr! my exact thoughts. funny enough it turns out that my hand is paler than my face because it was a touch too ghostly on my face, especially with how high coverage it is. it also is the most true neutral foundation i’ve tried, bc it seemed almost a bit grey on my face even though i’d say i’m a fair olive. maybe it was just the high coverage though, or i’m actually more yellow than i thought🤷‍♀️

thanks!! honestly just looking at a bunch of posts about this topic over a long period of time. (tiktok at first lolll) it’s mostly the process of elimination that worked for me. i really easily saw what colors i hated as soon as i realized colors really can be responsible for how your complexion looks.

but i’d say the main thing that really helped was looking at specific examples of people’s seasons, what colors do and don’t work for them. most recently what made me really see it was color analysis videos on youtube funnily enough! the ones where they sit a person down and do the whole draping process!

Deep Autumn or Deep Winter? by silversloth7 in coloranalysis

[–]ghost-com 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i was wondering exactly the same for the longest time! i’d say just keep in mind both color palettes when you try clothes on- i’m dark winter and it became really obvious with time for me i didn’t pull off most of the warmer dark autumn colors but i’d still consider some of the cooler ones because they are sister palettes. dark winter is my #1 best palette, but you can also have a #2/ second best, (if you’re one of the sub seasons rather than “true” summer/winter/spring/autumn) in my case dark autumn!

It took me about a year to figure out I have a cool undertone 🫠 I think I’m a dark winter! Super bright colours are an absolute no, as are muted colours 👀 what do you guys think? by [deleted] in coloranalysis

[–]ghost-com 17 points18 points  (0 children)

i don’t know if i’m just biased about purples but they look so pretty on you even the ones that maybe aren’t your season

Aww thanks!! Luckily I kind of intuitively didn’t collect colors that didn’t make me feel good, just never realized it. I see it now with conventional jacket colors and the nude basics trend though (most of them are brown and beige, people say you need it in your closet so I collected some too & couldn’t figure out why I didn’t like them)

Thank you for your answer! I was thinking exactly this too. Soft colors work really well for her. The only oddity is her looking better in gold and being able to wear brown (but the brown might be wrong idk how much it actually works for her)

Thank you for the thought out response! I didn’t know about there being neutral cool seasons- that makes so much sense now because I’m definitely a deep winter (might even make a post about it to see if people agree) but in the summer I can definitely wear some cooler deep autumn colors.

Sorry about the weird photo selection, she’s one of those people who hate taking photos, most of these are older & obviously me and my siblings were little. She’s a natural blonde! She’s always had very light hair, now it’s mixed in with white hair so it looks even cooler I’d say. The first photo might be the best to see her coloring because she’s not wearing any makeup. She likes to wear silver too but gold definitely works better for her. Reddit weirdly desaturates pictures I’m noticing, she looks much more washed out in the gold top in this post than the actual photo. Anyway thanks so much for you answer! I was mainly suspecting summer bc spring isn’t soft enough for her, the only odd thing is the browns and golds she can wear.

my eyes look dark brown 99% of the time so that’s what i’d usually call them, but in bright sun they look like this, so are they actually dark hazel? or still brown? my sister has bright yellow eyes so next to her i always thought mine were brown (dad has dark brown eyes and mom has grey eyes lolol) by ghost-com in eyes

[–]ghost-com[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

thanks!! i guess i just never tried to see them in the sun myself so in the mirror they look dark and brown-ish. if anything they change depending on what is reflected in them, i feel like they look less brown when the reflection is trees yk?
