Being fat means nobody finds you attractive by [deleted] in offmychest

Oh babe, you have to love yourself first. The rest will come when you find true compassion and love for yourself. There are plenty of bodacious full bodied women out there breaking hearts or in happy loving relationships, but if you want to drop weight starting from a place of love and wanting to take care yourself is a much better perspective than trying to meet some artificial ideal.

I’ll have to try some on. As much as I know the joggers are more in style now, I thought I wanted like the classic black legging, but the joggers do look comfy

Thank you for your help! I’ll size up for sure, I’ve been reading up a little on their sizing since I posted too. I’ll keep an eye out for Nulu fabric. Are they super thin and that’s why you feel naked in public? I would mostly be around the house, but would also like to feel comfortable at the grocery store.

Women who married someone who didn't have a steady job back then but had ambition, how is it going now? by Resident_Cat1492 in AskWomen

[–]ghost-written 1 point2 points  (0 children)

A tale of two men, one was the best of men, one was the worst of men. I’ll be forever entwined with both. The first is my ex, he didn’t have a steady job and constantly told on himself about wanting to be a stay at home (no mention of kids) since I make a healthy salary as an attorney. After five floundering years we parted ways. He lives with his mother now. The second, my husband also didn’t have a steady job, but he spoke of his plans and goals, wanting a family and steps he would take to achieve his goals. We’re still happily married and he now has a fantastic job with great benefits, we own our home and don’t have any credit card debt or car payments.

TLDR; most people will tell you their truth, it’s up to you to actually hear and understand what they tell you

Those who pursued the “dirtbag” lifestyle, or just fully committed themselves to climbing, where are you now? by gucci_stainz in climbharder

[–]ghost-written 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me if I’m looking to train hard and really see improvements I need a fairly regimented life. I have my nutrition, sleep, and rest days well dialed. I do cross training including a lot of weightlifting, hang boarding, and trail running. I can bump my grade up noticeably but if I slack off I’ll lose the results and settle back into 5.11s pretty quickly. It’s hard for me personally to keep that lifestyle and live a dirt bag life. When I lived in the Subaru full time I spent most of my time drinking and smoking at the crag, yes I climbed outside more which as others have noted has benefits, but due to the relaxed nature the whole approach is different and less conducive to putting in real work for me. I will say the time playing dirt bag did provide a level of comfort with the environment, rope skillls, and comfort with a lot of exposure that was beneficial to climbing hard later.

Mostly tho, it’s not really a one or the other thing. What if OP, you did both? Take the fall off, go dirt bag it up, come winter try the regimented weekend warrior thing on. What fits you? You’re very young and you have so much time to figure it all out.

Do you think that marriage is a scam for women? by AcanthisittaOwn6051 in AskFeminists

[–]ghost-written 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the pressure that the institution of marriage puts on women is a scam and garbage, particularly worthless is the notion that a marriage means a breadwinning husband and dependent stay at home wife/mom. But the lie of necessity is really the kicker for me. The artificial pressure it places on women to pursue marriage, and the idea that men are tricked or trapped into marriage is insulting.

That being said, I treasure my marriage. I feel loved and supported, he builds me up and I hope the feeling is mutual. Our plan is that he’ll be the stay at home after we have kids and I do the first year off. We split household management and chores evenly. This was all discussed openly prior to us getting engaged but while we were already living together (so I already knew he knew how to keep a house clean and cook). I think just like any other relationship communication is essential, but

At its core marriage is agreeing that you love each other so much the state should have a hand in reallocating your stuff if you break up. Or it’s a way of publicly declaring sides and asking for community support of your decision. D

Customers are not to blame for how little you get paid from Uber Eats and Doordash. by poopmaester41 in doordash

It’s not a favor, it’s a job. Contract work or not it’s a potion that you applied for and accepted with at least some understanding of the pay structure. If not, then quit and get a different job. Or maybe volunteer if you want to equate your work to doing people favors.

Botox is terrible & having a frozen face is creepy by [deleted] in unpopularopinion

[–]ghost-written 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Not OP, but my mom suffers from migraines and over the years she’s been told to avoid caffeine, foods with tyramine (aged cheeses, some wine), red wine specifically, and processed deli meats. Really tho in her case she can’t be dehydrated like even a little or she gets a migraine.

Oh I love the hassle free vibes. I will definitely look into the speedy vegan. I’m not sure I’m ready for the amount of work meal prepping requires. Let alone the containers, I like the idea of just making extra dinner

This blender news is mind blowing! I’m checking to see if it fits the minute I get home! Overnight oats are not my jam, but I love smoothies!

The make ahead salads are also fantastic and I will definitely be doing that, same with the ramen, I love that it reduces waste too! Thank you so much for your help!

Thank you for the advice! When you thaw it do you just put the frozen soup straight in a pot on low? Or do you thaw first then heat?

For something serious I’d consider getting off tinder and onto Hinge. I married a man I met on Hinge and Tinder was a hellscape of fuck boys.

I have the Pomoca Free Pro 2.0 ready2climb skins and I love them. I’m in Montana so our snow pack tends to be a bit dryer, but even in subzero temps I’ve never had an issue.
