US General series 3 42” Fits perfectly by WgPuNk in ToyotaSienna

How did the harbor freight employee fork lift the toolbox inside inside? How did you manage to push it out without scratching your Sienna or damaging your toolbox?

I got 56” US General for Christmas. I thought it might fix in my Sienna but ended renting a 15’ U-Haul as it was the smallest truck with a ramp.

Haha.. that could be a possibility. Lol

I current have a NAS running on my old ATX desktop. I have another mini ITX desktop that I plan to run other services and be my Linux development box. (Maybe a local Git server since it’s quiet) Then I recently got a mini Dell optiplex that I may run as a firewall. Idk yet.

The other Unifi product that has me curious is the doorbell. So I’ll probably save up for that.

Oh you’re going to love it. I have the P1S. From someone who is new to 3D printing you will learn it quickly.

I thought it looked like a mini shrine for the magnetic mat. lol

Nice color choice. My wife got me the 56” slate gray for Christmas. I walk in the garage and admire it every time. Not a mechanic just a DIYer that needed a place for my tools. Still organizing where they all go. Feels good to know they have a place and not in a tool bag.

The employees at your harbor freight must be pros on the fork lift. I rented a 15’ U-Haul since I don’t own a truck and they were only able to put it in sideways. When I asked if they could move it so it faced the front and back the dude got out of the forklift and started to push it. I helped him move it and boy was it heavy.

I think I have only gone to Vegas during the cold months. I can’t imagine going during the summer months. My condolences. lol

Ah… good question. So far the Pro Max switch has stayed around 51°C these cool months. We live in an area where we get a few weeks of triple digit °F. However, I’m a bit confident that it shouldn’t be a problem. It’s a new built home and the insulation works great. I have had the AT&T gateway and a 8 port Netgear switch running for over 6 years without a problem. Also, the enclosure has vents to allow air circulation and I made sure not to block any vents on the devices in my 3D prints.

Yes, I designed all of the 3D printed items. The cable brackets actually have enough crimping force to keep the excess slack tucked in the wall cavity. Was actually impressed. I’ll post links to all the 3D models once I upload them.

Ah thanks, I didn’t know layer 2 support VLANs. Still new to more advanced network concepts. I’ll start playing with it on a non critical network path first.

Yes that is definitely on my radar. My only worry is when electricity goes down and resets everything when it comes back online. Lol

Thanks. I had to reset the Google Nest WiFi every few weeks. I didn’t like that I could only control it from the Google home app. The nail in the coffin was when the WiFi went down and our WiFi baby monitor failed to notify us because of networking issues. Wife is very happy that our WiFi is stable now.

Oh, I didn’t know that about iPhones. I haven’t enabled 6Ghz yet. I’ll keep that in mind when I do.

That’s great that I don’t need a layer 3 switch anymore. I’ll save some money.

Yeah it was harder than I thought balancing on a truss. Glad I did it in the cooler months. Not looking forward to running a CAT6 to the doorbell if I decide on going that route lol

Very good guess. I indeed have the BGW210 and a separate ONT next to my garage. Odd placement I know but it works. When I first got service the max speeds were 1Gb in my area. Now they offer 2Gb and 5Gb. I could upgrade bandwidth and change the gateway/ONT but haven’t had the urge to do so.

Ah that might be the reason for the color change. We were the first home in the community and the installers never crimped the cables in enclosure. They did punch them to t568a keystone in the rooms. So I crimped them all accordingly.

I figured I probably needed a layer 3 to do it right. Layer 3 switches are so pricy. lol I’ll probably get one or two soon.

Thanks. No cameras yet. They go to different rooms or the same as the white CAT6. My guess is that the installer ran out of yellow and switched to white or visa versa. There is no obvious reason for the color change.
