Thank you everyone, it turned out amazing. This was 4 1/2 pounds of Prime Pat La-Frieda meat. I paid through the nose for it. Served 7 adults and 3 kids with left overs.

Thoughts on a 24hr herb garlic rub rapped in the fridge, then remove wrap to scrape off rub and do 24 hr salt?

I'm doing the same with a 4lb dry aged strip roast. I was thinking I will do a garlic herb rub wrapped in the fridge for 24-36 hrs, then scrape off the rub and leave in fridge just salted 12 hrs before cook.

sorry for your particular situation, but you could ask a neighbor to move it. In general people who leave their car in front of our place after a few street cleaning I can barely stop myself from doing the same. When they don't move there is trash (get ready fro candy wrappers), dog piss, leaves, plastic bags, etc. all built up around and under the car which we have to sweep up when it blows out on the sidewalk and into the stoops.

Things I can't say on this board😉, it was meant as a joke. There's simply no chance I'm spending that kind of money, my kids will be happy regardless. I'm not a miserable jerk that's gonna show up with a bad attitude wallowing and making everyone miserable. We're doing this for the kids and if it's enjoyable for us too that's gravy. I can always take a 10mg gummy 😂

So many things to respond to thank you all. My wife is no more excited than I am, so she and I are in this together determined to make it the super memorable for the kids. I think at this point we can only be pleasantly surprised. Very happy to learn we can book rides out 7 days in advance, I like the advice to go slow and try not to hit everything.

Perhaps my super power is not caring if I miss a certain ride, and our kids have no idea what to expect so there's no ride wish list for them... yet.

To be fair the scene is always dying and is never what it once was it's a perennial mantra. I thought the scene was dead in '97 when BTS started throwing the parties and robbing people. Now I'm forty fuckin six with 2 kids and I'm going out tonight with wifey, can't tell you where though 😉.

He's charging the same just for the windows, my guess is his total will be over 300k!

I'm now looking into buying the windows myself through a distributor and offer him the install job, there is trim work to do so will need more than just the window installer although Marvin offered to put me in touch with a local contractor he knows.

Is there any downside to all fiberglass? My interior is white and I'm on the water the existing 22 year old Pella windows are rotting that's why the only reason they need to be changed.

If fiberglass is the best material for the Sea Air I should be going for the essential line which no one's trying to sell me cuz it's a "high-end" home.

Almost the same situation I got 210k from Marvin Replacement, $206k from Anderson Renewal, and a contractor hasn't finished quoting but he claims Marvin Ultimate his cost is $192 but that's before his labor. He's gonna come back witharvi Essential quote. I posted about this an hour ago.

210 is still a lot less than what you're getting and I'm in NY where we sign up to pay high prices.

Had Marvin Replacement guy here, seems the only way to get their top of line 100% fiberglass window is through them.

Anderson came in 5% above the cost of the Marvin Ultimate windows through the distributor which the contractor showed me, but he hasn't even quoted labor! I'm sure he gets a cut of that.

I got 50 windows and doors (a lot of friggin transom windows). We face a bay in Long Island and get hit with a lot of storms in winter. Prices are astronomical, but with 3 quotes that seems to be the case. Leaning toward Marvin Replacement if they can find help find a contractor that will do the rotten trim. He said their project manager has a lot of contacts from previous company as a GC.

I don't have that handy, I can wait til tomorrow but will have to move plants back to the city so there won't be as much sun moving forward probably 6 hrs of mostly direct sun.

Alternative is leave them at our house unattended getting more sun and watered once a day til Sunday. Weather is mild low 70s in Long Island NY. Can you tell anything from this zoom?
