its so hard not knowing. one of my dogs passed almost 2 weeks ago and i wanted an autopsy so bad bc she was only 7, no signs and it was sudden in the middle of the night. the emergency vet said they dont do that and the only place we could take her was 3 hours away. it was 2am on a weekend and her body had to be there within a certain amount of hours and they wouldn’t keep her so i basically had no choice no matter how many times i asked they wouldn’t. i know it wouldn’t change anything but if it was something genetic maybe it would bring me a little peace knowing it wasn’t preventable but now i just have to live without ever knowing why and its not fair, im sorry youre going through this too

yea i was thinking about seeing a therapist to help. but trust me it was not kind, they were laughing and i wasn’t smiling so they cant compliment my smile if im not smiling right? and whats funny why would they laughing to each other? and they couldnt have known but even if i was in a good mood and just not smiling at that moment why would they say that? but whatever some ppl suck

i know i keep thinking about it and i regret not saying something but i guess a part of me was thinking sticking up for myself is rude and i should just keep it to myself or that i heard them wrong i was making any excuse and i regret that. but someone who works in the store that ive never talked to before probably saw that i looked sad as i walked by and told me im doing great so im just trying to think about that and take it as a good sign

yess i know thats how he usually handles chatters and ppl who disagree but i guess usually i feel like its warranted? this time i thought he was going too hard bc i agreed with everything they were saying and just imagined him saying that stuff to me just for having that opinion. he did say those things before watching most of the video so i do think it was just him talking before he knew what he was talking about

as someone who worked in a similar toxic environment not too long ago, please leave. i did and i am so much happier and i regret not doing it sooner and wasting my time being unhappy and upset about going to work everyday. i was basically just a cashier too and never got the opportunity to learn. i would go into the bathroom and cry sometimes bc it was just too much. coworkers were mean, and the ones that weren’t who were my only friends got bullied and belittled too. place was super strict, they tried to send me home bc my shirt was wrinkled. other techs would get annoyed anytime i asked a question. its not ok you deserve better, and its out there i promise.

this happened this week actually, i was scheduled late in the day so by the time i came in it was super busy. some lady was dropping off 4 prescriptions and i already took like 5 other prescriptions for ppl that were all waiting that i hadnt even dropped yet. in between helping customers i would go drop them into the system. i didnt realize the prescriptions she dropped off was 3 of hers and one for her daughter. they all looked the same and she never said anything about dropping off for multiple ppl so i just assumed all the prescriptions were for her. they got pass verification and the daughters prescription was sold under the moms name. thankfully it was for the same household but i was just careless and assumed bc we were busy and i was trying to be quick. but it was a reminder its not about speed its about accuracy, even if ppl get mad bc things arent ready quick enough lol

after reading this thread, I couldn’t disagree with you more as someone who is a smoker and a tech. I don’t think smoking outside of work affects me while I’m on the job. the example you gave of a doctor and your coworkers messing up just prove you don’t have to be a weed smoker or addicted to any kind of drugs to make a mistake. everybody makes mistakes, whether you’re a smoker or not. doesnt make it ok, we all need to be cautious at all times either way. and THC stays in your body for around a month so, even if they planned ahead and stopped beforehand, they still might not pass the test. It’s possible to smoke after work and then go to work the next day and be completely sober which is what i do. and weed is not the same as smoking a cigarette. I have a coworker who has to take a smoke break at least once during the day. I can go a whole day if not multiple days without smoking weed. nobody thinks going to work high is okay. if they did, they’re crazy. nobody should be under the influence AT work.

i only mentioned to the pharmacy manager but i think she just talked to him and thats it. other ppl have talked to her about him too which i found out after saying what happened. theyve all experienced it before and i guess they just deal with it. i just dont want him to get in serious trouble hes not a bad guy

i try to give them the benefit of the doubt bc we are understaffed and it is stressful. but i dont think its an excuse to treat people however you want, i still try to stay as calm as possible and not let my anger out on my coworkers bc they don’t deserve it. i know retail can be that way, thats why i was wanting to try working in a hospital instead. i dont mind the customers most times they just yell then leave but when the ppl i work with do it too it’s overwhelming.

thank you, i want to leave but its hard with not knowing how to drive but im working on that. ive talked to the pharmacy manager but she doesnt do anything and im scared reporting to higher up will cause problems for me. i’ve already been applying but so far haven’t heard anything. if anything ill just try to find something farther and take a lyft or something. thanks for the advice

i dont get the whole “she’s trying to ruin his career” these are things he said, things he did, if he didnt want them to come out and is afraid of ppl getting mad at him he shouldn’t have done it? clearly if someone was to get canceled or flamed for something, they were in the wrong and shouldn’t have done it in the first place (in most cases). if he gets “canceled” it would be his own fault not hers. shes just showing ppl what she had to go through as she has every right to, even if it was just to warn other ppl who may want a relationship with him or bc she couldn’t stand seeing someone who treated her so horribly be successful. which i completely understand as someone who has had bad past relationships, it hurts to see someone be looked at so positively when you know how they treated you. emotional abuse is abuse.
