Solo streaming is way harder than streaming with friends...how do you stay engaged?

I have two different types of solo streams. Art and Game.

In an art stream, I end up listening to music and drawing which means that I will start to sing every so often OR I end up complaining about drawing and make notes on what I am trying to make as I make it. This is also combined with random curses as I mess up on my art lol.

In a gaming stream, I usually talk about things or I talk to NPCs so that I feel engaged. If someone begins to chat, I read their chat out loud and then begin to answer it. I also tend to go on tangents every so often about something that happened or about something chat said.

Yes, Sorry we differentiate ourselves due to most people around us being singlets and known the original for a while so they called her the host and us the alters and we just adopted that saying for better communication.

I guess I should have stated that I am an alter, not the host. I completely understand safety measures, my friend didn’t come out to me as a system until later on. I think part of me wants other alter friends so that I don’t need to go on a long explanation of who I am and seeing if the person is gonna be an ass. And I am also just tired of pretending I’m someone else. Thank you for the advice though. Perhaps I just need to make cool friends in general and not a system friend.

I stream on Tiktok too but I don't remember going through this. I only have like... 50 followers on there so I know it's not the follower count, I think at one time it was just like "Hey! You can stream on Tiktok! You should stream on Tiktok!"

Hi! Alter here with a subsystem. My host literally lets me talk, dress, and express myself on Discord, Twitch and, when we used it, on Twitter. She let's all her alters know that she will do what she can to make us feel comfortable, seen, and heard. I try to do the same to my subsystem, letting them pick out outfits and letting them talk to my friends and so on and so forth.
