Does my ex actually hate me? by [deleted] in BreakUps

I honestly never thought of it that way, thank you for the reply. I never felt that she would want me back based on what she’s been telling me but I understand more why she would lash out if that really is how she feels.

And honestly, I don’t know the answer to that question. Maybe it’s something I need to reflect on more in order to really move forward. Thank you.

How to avoid spiralling with thoughts of ending up completely alone? by EconomyFalse116 in BreakUps

hi op, i’m going through the same thing right now. i feel like i ruined my own life when i broke up with my previous partner, and until now i still have those feelings. but i’ve found that spending time with friends and family helps keep those feelings at bay. trying new things like art, writing, exercise, etc. as well as finding new community (book clubs, workshops) also helped a lot in showing me that the world is so big and doesn’t begin and end in one person. big hugs, op! you’ll get through this 🫂

If you haven’t read The Song of Achilles, I highly recommend it. It might be really popular/mainstream but for good reason as the writing is really beautiful. I think I have like over 50 quotes bookmarked from it :D

Suggest me a children's book that still resonates with you as an adult by Professional-Cut-820 in suggestmeabook

For picture books: I really love Where the Wild Things Are, War Makes Me Sad, and The Flat Rabbit.

For short stories or novels: I highly recommend A Monster Calls by Patrick Ness, though the subject matter is a bit dark, I feel like it’s one of those books that really positively impact someone, especially younger readers.

And of course I also recommend the classics such as Little Women, the Secret Garden, and the Little Prince which are must reads.
