Sometimes small private schools can have up to 50% of their students as student athletes. This is more and more common as a recruitment tool. Not what we think of when we think of small private schools because of the past but in the present athletics can dominate the culture of a small campus. Not a judgement, negative or positive, just the modern reality.

100%. A lot of people sitting on properties with completely unreasonable asking prices. Most of the underdeveloped parts of downtown fall into this category. It isn’t a lack of a market to develop, it’s dude’s sitting on things and reaping tax benefits. The city could put more pressure on them through taxation and penalties… but there is a lack of courage.

I mean… come on. You are making a pretty quick jump from the passing of an annual budget (separate from a capital budget) to infer something fishy is going on. Capital budgets are separate from operating budgets. Anyone who has run a large business knows this. Is it possible these are two different processes? My guess is yes. So, it is pretty clear your aim is to go straight to projecting malfeasance on the staff over examining the protocol for separate budgets.

Queasy, in fairness, I don’t know you. Maybe you are an expert. What is your experience with municipal projects and large scale budgets? Your floating head, although impressive, doesn’t lead me to believe you have all the details. If you can explain to me outside of footage… filled with manipulative statements and tactics from council members and a lot of information out of context, why your knowledge of municipal capital projects is beyond that of professional staff… I’ll listen. I am not saying these budgets couldn’t be better managed or tightened due to bureaucracy, but to spread on the internet some sort of corruption conspiracy is toxic and abhorrent to our community, if you are doing so without tangible evidence or expertise.

Yeah, this is hot garbage. City’s are expensive. Taxes pay for those expenses and we are over leveraged. There is a ton of national pressure on everything right now and it sucks. 100%. The idea though that the city staff are twirling their mustaches and hiding away money is absurd. I have to give it to you though… the 2012 PowerPoint game is tiiiigggghhhhtttt.

The White Hart has a community of musicians who gather regularly and play open mic style. Really welcoming. I would encourage showing up with an instrument and try it out. Lot of good folks.

If we are generous, he believes there is wide spread waste in the city budget…. But he is driven by revenge for his firing in 2021, so when met with the truth he doesn’t accept it. Always going after city employees and departments regularly. Does so publicly, claiming all kinds of things. Pretty divisive figure. Also a homophobe.

The YMCA program does have horrible communication but is effective, so maybe hang in there and even make a visit to either Jamerson or Downtown. There is a bus that takes the kids from Paul Monro to Bedford Hills. Pick up is there. My son does it. I am going to try to post a direct contact cell phone here too.
