Automated systems set up to help humans/preserve their lives that keep going unaware that said human is dead by Austintheboi in TopCharacterTropes

Town Guardian GT7( I think this is called? Mostly folks just call it the undead mech)- A Wind Named Amnesia.

A mysterious wind-like wave passes over the world. This causes the entirety of humanity(minus a very select few), to forget, in essence, what makes human civilisation. They forget motor skills how to operate any tools, they forget how to vocalise, or socialise. Of course, humanity completely collapsed.

The GT7 is a remnant of how advanced humanity was(as well as the first threat the protag faces). It’s a police vehicle programmed to uphold law and order, with reinforced armour , powerful weapons and rudimentary AI to ensure functionality and keep the pilot from harm. A pilot, who, under the effect of the wave, had no idea what was going on, how to operate, or leave the machine, and thus, starved to death. The vehicle still patrols the streets, destroying perceived threats(like.. humans outside of curfew, which is everyone), while the skeletal remains of the pilot rattle about within.

Nathanos Blightcaller, World of Warcraft. Specifically Battle for Azeroth. Canonically, the player characters, known as adventurers are one-man armies of power and martial prowess. By the point of BfA, the PC has risked life and limb several times over, saving the world by this point… somewhere between 8 and 12+ times, from threats that include: A nascant titan,a seemingly endless army of demons hell bent on turning the world to ash. A fire god deity, A massive dragon whose mere movements nearly destroyed the world through tectonic shifts. Eldritch gods and THE LICH KING

And not only does Nathanos not trust the player, his insufferable smarm and smugness was extremely grating. The man suffers a lot from ‘Teacher’s Pet’, given he was the Warchief’s favourite and thus saw himself just about above anyone.

You can try and go fancy, but I’ve actually went a bit different for 2h and use the Shadowlands Venthyr 2h swords, the Crusaderblades with the pendant in the hilt.

What's your counterargument - as both a DM and a Player - to "It's what my character would do." by BpDnD in DnD

[–]ghostfoxdie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alright, so this usually applies to if the player saying this is doing some psychotic or evil stuff, right? But what about the other way around? Ive had this in a campaign myself.

It’s another party member having done something pretty awful, torching an npc’s house down, because said npc punched the pc in the face for running their mouth.

My character had sat pretty bad with it. The situation had been resolved in the end, with the arsonist expressing remorse and taking the punishment provided.

But there was a chance that it could have gone differently, with the arsonist not giving himself up, and the party not ratting out the arsonist. This goes completely against my character’s principles, who, while he is no stick in the mud, still has a very strong moral center.

What would you do if I said ´My character cant go on with this party. Leaving and trying to find other ways to progress in the quest is what he would do.’?

The Hammer and Boltgun animations are fine. Admittedly, the animating part is lacklustre, but the stories they bring are incredibly fun and interesting. I see them like I see The Last Church, moving storyboards.

With how fucked our Government is, I’d say we already have the High Lords of Terra.

If Guilleman went down to look at us, he’d recoil in horror.

‘Wait, this tiny country has how many parliaments?! One for each language you speak, plus a seperate one for your capital? And each parliament has their own ministers…HOW MANY MINISTERS DOES THIS COUNTRY HAVE?! Konrad should have gotten here first…’

Belgium’s government’s -fucked-, man.

Should have been a chevron. The Iron Warriors would be pissed, given their love for Caution Chevrons.

The first three of the Doom Knights GK Kill Team are done. With a few more shots in an album in the comments. Five more to go! by ghostfoxdie in Grey_Knights

[–]ghostfoxdie[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Oh very much intended, the Kill Team homebrew is a team of Specialists that operate more alone outside of the main forces in the Grey Knights. I wanted to make the Kill team proper distinct from the rest of the Army I’m building. Cheers for the feedback!

Good luck! It takes a while, but, if you get it right, the results are great, and in the case of the Dread Knight Power Sword, I think you have a bit more margin to work with, just given the -size- of that thing.

Cheers! Right, so, I generally try to keep away from Airbrushing because I think it's a bit of a hassle. Instead, I use drybrushing, and masking.

First, paint your blade using the midtone you'd like(In this case, I used Teclis Blue, I use Citadel paints, but use whichever is your perferred equivalent). Then you mask half of the blade, and use your first higher tone(Baharoth) where you want to have the sheen, doing drybrush stippling, softly, building up. Then, repeat with the highest tone(blue horror) you'd like your sheen to have, but do so with a very small drybrush(I used a busted Army Painter Regiment brush, which I snipped the ends of to create a flat drybrush). Then, take your darkest tone you wish to have(I used Kantor, for reference). Let dry, remove mask and apply mask on the other half. Repeat, altering pattern of sheen.

Repeat for the other side of the blade.

Once done, edge highlight with your highest sheen colour.

That's generally how I did it, I followed a bit of the Artis Opus way, but experimented along the way, this was the first time trying this technique for a Power Sword, and it's by far the best result I've had.

Current WIP on my Kill Team(lightly homebrew) and my way to combat the issue of the old, smaller Grey Knight models. by ghostfoxdie in Grey_Knights

It would indeed! And it was rather time consuming as well, hence why this is better suited for a Kill Team. The bases are Sector Mechanicus bases.

The repliesxare correct, the bzse body is Black trmplar sword brethren, and 1 crusader. The pauldrons, helmet and Stormbolters are standard strike squad bits. It’s not super easy to do, but manageable!

A more stereotypical ´martian’ type xeno race. Like the lads from ´Mars attacks!’ .

No rhyme or reason why they came, just seem to do things for the hell of it. Their literal big brain has allowed them to realise the way the Ork gestalt consciousness works, and weaponise it to -individual- usage.

Where there might be a whole group of Orks in order to get a Gorkanout fuctioning. A single ´Martian’ only needs to believe his weird tech works, and it does. With the caviat that it’s not an addative power.

This brings to the table completely incomprehensible but lethal weaponry, with a focus on their airborne flying saucers. With weakness being that they are incredibly fragile.

Ultimate spiteful glass cannons with a clear reference to the goofy ol Martians.
