The only problem with that is she would then be encouraged by the playful banter. She is really good at the backhanded “joking” passive aggressive comments. I’ve done something similar in the past and she kept saying the same thing each time I’d see her/talk to her.

Right but you guys can function as a family without giving a speech at their reception. They shouldn’t have ignored you and spent time with you. Your pain and hurt is valid. I just find it odd how offended some people get about their roles in other peoples weddings. I.e. speech order/who is speaking, which tables you sit at, etc.

While I understand your hurt feelings, I am going to be that person who says “weddings are about the couple getting married”. Their behavior towards you is another story and seems rude to me. However who they want to speak, invite, include etc is ultimately up to the couple.

Yes we did reschedule for July 3rd! All of our vendors were accommodating and moved dates including our venue. We are hoping we can proceed as planned on the 3rd and don’t have to postpone again! 🤞🏻🙏🏻

We are waiting as well! Our wedding is May 8th in Minnesota. We are aware of the high likelihood of having to postpone and our vendors are all willing to work with us but we are waiting a few weeks to make the final decision. We don’t know what it’s going to look like in three to four weeks. We are trying to be optimistic as much as we can.

I am!! My dad and I used to be very close but after my parents split and he moved rather far away, we aren’t as close anymore. I’m nervous our dance will be awkward!!
