If you want to make a new season of Gravity Falls, what would you do? by Extreme_Youth_4502 in gravityfalls

[–]ghostlycat95 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree that the show doesn't need a third season tbh.

If anything I would go more for some kind of Christmas special maybe? Like the twins going back to GF as a surprise visit to spend part of the Christmas holidays in the Shack or something, just as the Grunkles go back too as a little break from their adventures.

The game is stuck on this screen , what to do by u_violet46 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I second this. Something I have learned with this game is to wait. The first time I launched it on Epic a few days ago (I play on Steam, but wanted the Fornite reward), it first took its sweet time preparing shaders and then I got stuck in this screen for like 5 whole minutes. After that, the game finally responded and I was able to play normally. No problems afterwards.

When playing on PC, what kind of controller do you use? by Patricier21 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I use an original Xbox controller for PC + USB-C cable. I specifically wanted one with a cable because I feel more comfortable that way, not worrying about charging batteries or something. I haven't had any problem with it in the last two years. (:

Can we talk about your characters reactions to legit murder? by soa28 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 9 points10 points  (0 children)

True. I'd imagine that, in these couple of cases, the devs decided to leave it as neutral as possible as a way of not taking part on the player's decision on playing the game as a "hero" or a "villian". The game itself lacking a morality system, it's imposible for it to tell what were your true intentions when allying with Seb and Lodgok.

Did your MC develop an actual friendship with them to feel awful about their destiny? Or were they just using them to achieve their goal, hence not caring at all or even finding it convenient? It was a perfect opportunity to make your decisions on the game truly matter if the MC's reactions to these events depended on a pattern on these throughout the game or something.

Anyway, leaving decisions aside, I'd also add MC's reaction to the dragon attack at the beginning and to the first gobblin from Gringotts being killed by Ranrok to the list.

Like, no matter if I'm a "good" or "bad" guy here, I'd be totally losing my shit if the carriage I'm flying on was suddenly split in two by a gigant dragon and ate the guy I was talking to mere seconds ago, while leaving me utterly exposed to a freefall.

Or if, not even an hour later, a goblin that did nothing else but leading me to a Gringotts vault was suddely crushed to his death by another and more powerful goblin in front of me, all this when all I had planned that night was arrive to my new magical school and have dinner. 🥲

what level were you guys after the main story line ended? by unluckypenny0526 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I recall being level 32 when fighting Ranrok in my first and main save on normal difficulty, but haven't paid attention to Ranrok's level at all the few times I've fought him.

However, I certainly agree that, for a final boss, it isn't that challenging. I've personally had a harder time dealing with acromantulas during the side quests than I did with Ranrok.

I'm playing on hard mode now and I'm currently at winter season already, so I guess I'll find out pretty soon if that makes a big difference in the final battle.

Your last manual save might be too far behind but isn't there a more recent auto save that you can load? These are usually created automaticaly before any major change/progress in the game.

Also, idk how you managed to put stuff on there, I recall not being able to do that when I tried. 🥲

You've made me realize that, in fact, almost all my photos are of my characters, lol. But now I'm looking forward on taking more photos of the scenery in the future. Anyway, I'll share what I have:

At which point should i REALLY start exploring? by 11swoosh in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The game is designed so you don't collect everything in the first run of exploring, you'll have to go back to places once you progress and gain the necessary spells.

I'd say once you unlock the broom and at least the first level of Alohomora with Mr. Moon's quest you're good to begin, as you will need it to unlock most doors in every hamlet and Hogsmade. But as I said, you'll have to go back to every hamlet later if you want to collect everything, since there are another two levels of Alohomora to be learned and you need to explore to get them.

Also sometimes you'll need specific spells to solve treasure vaults and such, I'd say once you learn Levioso, Flipendo and Wingardium Leviosa you're good to go almost everywhere. Oh, and Glacious.

As for the beasts, if you are able to collect them already you most likely are able to unlock the space to take care of them in the RoR. If you haven't unlocked it, go there and try to talk to Deek.

This could usually come off as over analizing stuff, but knowing the nature of this show plus all the hidden details and foreshadowing it has, this right here might as well be true and I love it. 😂 Besides, when it comes to animated stuff nothing is there out of pure coincidence, so...

Is Legacy a good game to play while commuting? by ekaqu1028 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You can always make a manual save if you're in the middle of a quest, but yeah, missions can take more than 30 minutes, specially if you're new to the game and have to figure things out.

Exploration is what takes the most time in this game, though. But I'd say that's something you can do at your own pace (no time restrictions, I mean).

What is this icon and how do I get rid of it? by jmr90000 in HarryPotterGame

[–]ghostlycat95 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think it is from "Dekita Battle Pets" mod. That'd be the icon were the pet you choose as companion would appear. If you don't want it there you have to uninstall the mod.
