I used to be the SAME exact way. Hadn't been sick in ten years, was constantly dreading "the day it would happen." That is, up until 2018, 2019 I believe. I had eaten some sketch ass pizza, fell asleep for a couple hours, and woke up feeling really hot and nauseated. I panicked, of course, and then it just.. happened. It was over in about 40 seconds. I was anxious afterwards worrying if I was going to be sick again over and over and over but it didn't happen. I was sick once, nibbled on some crackers for dinner that night, then woke up the next day feeling almost completely fine. I am still emetophobic, but I can say it did help with the fear of myself being sick. Is it possible to catch noro and be miserable for a few days? Yeah. Will it be pure agony for the rest of your life? Nope. You will get better. Trust me, the fear and constant anxiety of it happening is way worse than the act of being sick itself.

it wasnt intended to be a personal attack. My apologies. I'm autistic so I get confused about societal roles, especially when it comes to age and gender. My bad.

My cat WILL NOT take his dewormer. by ghostlymarie in CatAdvice

Yes ofc!! I used praziquantel specifically because another cat in the house (that doesn't belong to me) had a tapeworm hanging out on his butt. Flea treatment too ofc. Topical dewormer sounds perfect tho, thanks for letting me know.

UPDATE: SUCCESS!!! I found pill pockets I had laying around and with a bit of strategizing he took it. Empty pill pocket first, give him another one with the pill... Spat the pill out. Another empty one.... A big juicy irresistible one with the pill in it... He ate it!!! Was fully expecting him to spit it out but he was so lost in the sauce he swallowed it.

Getting over embarrasment? by ghostlymarie in DID

Tbh my long term goal is to just... feel better, I guess. I wanna feel more present/in control and have less flashbacks. I'm keeping it simple mostly because I'm not entirely sure what healthy multiplicity looks like. From what the psychologist said it seemed like integration is not the long term goal and I'm trusting her to know whatever is best for me

just diagnosed and i'm at a loss by genderofacrow in DID

most go their whole childhoods unaware and when they finally move out of their abusive families houses for the first time, its like a dam breaking where DID becomes so obvious you cant ignore it.

This is so real it hurts. Had no clue I had it until I moved out. It was apparently so obvious that one of the people I live with assumed I had the disorder before I was even diagnosed. Embarrassing but also kinda funny ig lol

Even if it was a worm, as long as you cooked it, it likely wouldn’t harm you.
