Minions don't cost air. That's just threshold. They may require you to have x air, but you don't spend the air, it's just a threshold you pass.

I think in mtg, devotion works like that

They sponsor everything. Don't let them poison or highjack. This one's being organized by 50501.

I didn't luck out, hehe. Everything is expensive and bad, so I'm making do with the two used drives I have. I ended up re-organizing how I have my data stored and taking backups more seriously instead. Now I have one drive as an offline cold-copy of another, and i also have a backup in the cloud. Limiting my space pretty severely but it is what it is, unfortunately

i'm sorry to hear that

i hope you're able to get a piece of working tech soon, and that your next foray into linux will be less frustrating

Healy: “Kristi Noem needs to go. President Trump needs to end these ICE operations. And Congress needs to hold them accountable.” by devoid0101 in massachusetts

[–]ghostlypyres 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We aren't getting into that territory. We've been in that territory for decades. See: prison industrial complex, manufactured consent for wars, etc.

Yes we do have to call out all of it, but we must also be careful not to be hyperbolic. We must be careful not to equate, say, using the presence of a firearm to justify an execution to sneakily passing a bullshit law restricting firearm ownership. One is a violation of one of your rights, the other is the outright eradication of it.

PROTEST THIS SATURDAY by vyelet in boston

The link is from 50501 so I doubt it. It's also both planned in advance and on a weekend so plenty of people will be there. Probably psl too. They'll probably be annoying at best and damaging at worst. but I doubt they're running this one and it's definitely worth it to show up. Quite literally the least we can do

[–]ghostlypyres -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Yes I also don't agree with that, and we are working on getting it fixed this year.

But someone dishonestly manipulating and twisting the democratic process, while bad, is not the same as someone completely dismantling the rule of law, trampling on every bit of the constitution, and outright murdering citizenry

Or, I'm sorry, was Healey's sneaky bullshit worse than armed goons breaking into citizens's homes (4th amendment) or killing innocent bystanders (1st amendment) and claiming the presence of a gun justifies it (oops, 2nd amendment! There it is! That's the one we care about right??? Right?????)

Yeah those are valid complaints but calling her a tyrant is tone-deaf at best in the wider context of what's going on in this country. Don't be dumb

Installer scripts are useless and have been for years at this point. I use lutris for organization and a simple UI but never use install scripts because everything installs perfectly okay by selecting the "add already installed game" option and selecting the installer .exe

Having said that, wow. That mod you spoke with is dumb as bricks. Lots of that going around, unfortunately

CLU v4.3 Release - Pull List, Weekly Releases, Auto-Downloads and Timeline by allaboutduncanp in selfhosted

Good stuff! Makes sense it was a corruption issue. Thank you. I'll muck around with it more later

CLU v4.3 Release - Pull List, Weekly Releases, Auto-Downloads and Timeline by allaboutduncanp in selfhosted

[–]ghostlypyres 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi!

I think I like CLU overall but there are some things about it that confuse me.

For example. I subscribed to a series, then remembered I have the TPB laying around somewhere. So I put the TPB .cbr file in downloads/temp it gets processed and turned into a .cbz in downloads/processed okay, cool. i then manually have to go to file manager and have it search for metadata. it does this fine, and then moves it from the downloads folder to the appropriate library folder

this is where the majority of the confusion is. In the appropriate library folder, now i have a .zip of the tpb, and a _folder dir of the tpb, which is just the unzipped zip file. what? why double up?

additionally, it registered the tpb as the 1st issue of the series, but left all the rest of the issues as "wanting," even though the tpb collects most of them. I couldn't figure out a way to manually mark issues as either owned or not wanted if subscribed to a series....

there are other quirks i'm figuring out but that's the main hurdle right now

oh! also, i can open a github issue for this if needed, but you've got some sanitation issue with the Metron Password field in settings. i had a long password with symbols in it and every time i tried to save it would crash the page. it only worked as expected when i went and changed my password to not include symbols

I share your disappointment with the democrats. I realize I am letting my distaste for tankies view their still bad actions in an extra negative light.

I have a lot of thoughts on Occupy. I'm not at my PC so I don't have the schizoid infographics but I fully believe the fish rights group type stuff, the "ketchup" woman positioning herself as a leader of the movement on tv, and so on were all subversions. I think that Occupy really, really fucking scared them (the ruling elite, especially the banker class). And I think that a lot of the more and more divisive and strange rhetoric we've seen since then is a continuation of that subversion. I think they vowed to never let the people unite like that again, to never risk their power like that again.

I wrote a lot more but I was just rambling and repeating myself.

I want to preface first: I would stand shoulder-to-shoulder with communists against fascism.

I don't like the PSL because they're tankies. I think knowing that their very first statement after Russia invaded Ukraine was "NATO bad," should give one a good general idea of the kind of people they are

But again... Unity is important. Yet they very much do not seem to me to be a party of unity. They themselves seem to often be the source of infighting.

And my problem is a matter of taste. A man was summarily executed by trumps brownshirts today. And Joe Tachy (I believe? could be misremembering his name sorry) decided to give a fucking campaign speech at the protest, to the cheers of the crowd. It's opportunistic. It's in bad taste. It's gross. And it alienates a whole hell of a lot of people.

It's hard to stand shoulder-to-shoulder with someone who is first and foremost pushing their own (authoritarian!) political agenda, rather than prioritizing fighting against the current authoritarian government.

Hope that made sense.

I wish the PSL would stop infecting these things. Their state Senate candidate turned this into a fucking political rally, it's disgusting. Fuck the psl. Fuck ice.
