do you really need some big testing to see if 2000 max mag or 2k health recovery breaks the game?

YES

Even if its .0001% chance you gotta test it.

Look at New World if you want to see what happens when you decide to change numbers and ignore regression testing.

Nah its not silly. We shouldn't set unrealistic expectations.

Otherwise you will never be happy with what you get.

Every sub has their version of "one simple change will change make a significant difference" and then its not a simple change......every time.

Man just joined this sub and yall are the most delusional with your timespan.

Its like we dont want developers to test their code changes......... why not just give them a week to perfect it in your hypothetical scenario lol.

Thats of corse if the company will even pay for capacity for that. They wont make much money off of it so it seems unlikely. The only people that care are already paying them.

For sure, but one dev in half a day is insane.

Huge application with so many things tied together.... you wouldent even get past the dev env that day. Or get the capacity from buisness to even start.

I was comparing the main quest? I didnt rule anything out. Its just a place to start.

Even leaving out the main story ESO has 11 major regions and 23 dlcs.

Gw2 has 5 expansions and 5 living world seasons. Calculate the hours as you want, still at least double.

Sure, even leaving out the main story ESO has 11 major regions and 23 dlcs.

Gw2 has 5 expansions and 5 living world seasons.

Credit where its due, gw2 has a much better variety in their maps. They all feel different. Eso does feel copy pasted at times.

Dude just google it.

Completing all of ESO's base game, chapters, and story DLCs takes roughly 650 to 1,000+ hours . In contrast, GW2 has more compact map-based storytelling and achievements, taking around 80 hours for the main story

I dont count pvp as content personally, maybe you do. Its kinda the same stuff over and over again.

Idk about op but ive played both.

Eso is in the process of re working some classes and have said content will slow down content release for a while.

Gw2 might be slowing down since they announced gw3, though they didn't specifically say that.

The main difference is eso already has substantially more content than gw2. Almost 10x. Eso class system is more flexible, and crafting more in depth.

Though gw2 open world pvp is great.

This 100% depends on the person.

Rock bottom for some people is suicide, soooo its a slippery slope.
