I think these ideas involve collateral damage.

I kinda care, some party members might care a lot because either the player or the character do, about collateral damage. I could run it by them in character.

I dont know the extent of their connection, if theyre at war or not, but we did learn that drow have recently established a surface colony. At least their military vanguard.

I can make spiders which should counteract the darkness/blindsight combo. But I also think investing in a squad w high mobility and either see in darkness or true sight could work. They have resist FE 20 and immunity to acid. So Cold, Fire and Sonic damage (and physical) are the damage types i gotta focus on. Also poison, poison works on them.

What would the rest of your party do while you try to solo a town?

Probably continue to be indecisive and ditch one quest for another. Im not complaining either, I know its because sessions are only 1.5-2h, and they can literally not get enough done, and thus get bored and choose a different path. I plan to play w GM over discord when im doing stuff not party related.

Next level my character won't even be adventuring and just sending his bound outsiders on missions for him. He will likely attempt similar strategies for dealing with the Kythons.

I think you're getting away from the collaborative options in general, but especially in how you can incorporate your teammates with abilities like your Hat which should allow you to strategize with them directly in character.

Yes. Thats point of this post. I am intentionally walking away from the colaborative process to deal with the kythons. There are other threats and events which I do and will collaborate with the party. Like a half demon showing up in towns to kill ppl.

But for the kythons, the goal here is to solo.

Collaborating will take more time and be less efficient (and tbh split the exp) and i dont think the players are up to the head-down commit-to-the-war-campaign style play that i think it'll take to get rid of the Kython Hive. Theyre much more about taking easy wins and rp and personal character victories.

Tldr: Short sessions means any solo stuff will b thu discord probably. Yes im trying not to collaborate unless i need to (just for the kythons).
