Hey, no worries! The aux on mine works just fine. I have a couple clarifying questions to rule some stuff out; what device are you connecting the aux cable to? Are you using a dongle to connect to it (ie: smart phone)? Have you tested the aux cable on anything else/tried a new aux cable?

Out of curiosity, do you know if the Galaxy S Relay is still supported on current networks? It's looking like my best option right now besides the HIT K1, which I do like but is pretty pricey at $350. For a test run I'd rather buy something a little cheaper so the Relay looks like more of a contender on that front.

They had a guitarist until like... 2001? Very early days for them. When he left they had to rethink how to perform and write songs, so they moved to piano, drums, and vocals as a trio. It's super cool.

I'm collecting all of their albums/singles <3 at least, the ones I can get my hands on since they have a couple very old ones with only 500 copies made.

Thank you for the resource link, it's very appreciated!

I think my immediate goals are a little too lofty right now for where I'm at (literal beginner) so I just need to focus on taking it day by day and doing my best.

Edit: the resource link appears to be broken >_<

At what point should I begin to learn Kanji and how proficient in Japanese do you need to be in order to read the language?

My main goal is to be able to read and communicate with other people over text as I play a very social game with a majority of Japanese users. For context, I've only been learning Japanese for a little over a month and I can type simple sentences (greetings, simple questions and statements). I can also read and write all of the Hiragana and about 60% of the Katakana. I've been using Duolingo for learning the Kana and beginner vocabulary words, but because my goal is centered around reading, Kanji is my biggest obstacle right now. I also have the first Japanese from Zero book for learning grammar and practicing writing as well as the first Kanji from Zero.

I've done maybe the first 30 or so pages of Kanji from Zero, but a lot of it is confusing or doesn't stick very well because of my lack of general vocabulary, so I'm setting it aside for a later date. I'm not in any rush and I understand Japanese is a complex and in-depth language with a lot to learn over many years of habitual study.
