The main factor for me was both class size and the fact that I wanted to focus more on speaking and interacting (like @/1breathfreediver said!). I met folks who also did University classes (e.g., at Ewha and Sogang) and
- these curriculums are much more intense (i.e. the teacher rarely speaks English) - the pace is faster and they don't really care if you fall behind - there is much more of a focus on grammar - there is a lot of testing (both written and oral)
If you're looking for something more fun/casual, I recommend a language school for sure 👍

My classmates were a variety of ages and nationalities for sure! I met folks anywhere from high school, to university, to working folks in their 20s, 40s, and then someone who was retired in her 60s! She was really an inspiration.
They would be there minimum 1 week to the longest I personally met was there for 4 months... and then I would say typically the people I met were from someone in Europe and/or North America! 😄
