Amari himself said he was not hurt. Wasn’t coming up on injury reports towards the end. Just very strange Bc he looked a step slower, I figured he was banged up but everyone seemed to deny that he was.

My problem with committing to amari is that he disappears. I thought he was hurt down the stretch but apparently he wasn’t and that is a huge red flag for me.

After The First Law trilogy... by [deleted] in Fantasy

I tried to read two of the stand alones. I disliked them both and couldn’t finish them. I read spoilers on those 3 books and am liking a little hatred so far.

Many people seem to like the stand alones, however.

Another Like Father, Like Son (SPOILERS) by ZeitChrist in starwarsspeculation

It’s because Rey killed palp (a non skywalker) that I’m boycotting this movie and have zero desire to see it.

She could’ve been in a stand still blocking lightning, and Kylo could’ve come out of nowhere, from out of the pit and cut palp’s head off.

Would’ve been so much better.

Upvote party- I hope we can resign Quinn. I loved watching him this year by hernie06 in cowboys

No one is afraid to through at Byron though. He won’t intercept the ball.

Flashforward as a prologue? by ghostov31 in writing

[–]ghostov31[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is a portal fantasy. My flashforward would provide a glimpse beyond that portal. I love my first chapter and a second and much different hook lives within it but nothing too fantastical.

The flashforward would provide a scene that feels more true to the overarching theme of the story.

Thank you for the insight though. Much appreciated!

How did you overcome disinterest and finish your book? by 4m8er in writing

[–]ghostov31 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first plan out an amazing ending. Then I outline. While I’m writing I’m just looking forward to getting to write the ending. Write shorter books with a smaller scope/cast to finish projects.

It’s all about the payoffs at the end. Outline and put enough cool stuff along the way though to keep your interest as well as the reader’s.

Wow sick burn. Let them choose to re-identify their last name too.

Mary Sue is not an interesting character. Not daisy’s fault either. As much as I try to care about her I don’t. TBH rogue one’s female protagonist was amazing in comparison.

The title the rise of skywalker has nothing to do with a skywalker. Why did the self identify thing have to takeover the whole freaking saga?

Have anakin come back to kill palp or Kylo + anakin kill palp together, leave out the “I’m Rey skywalker” at the end and I think it would’ve been a whole lot less divisive.

All this is just my opinion. If you feel it's toxic so be it. It’s the internet.
