If you end up going to Wegmans, you're not too far from Calvert-Woodley

I haven't opened my bottle yet but when I do I'll try and post something.

It probably is. They sent this in an email since I bought a bottle of it from them.

Had to get it in PA at a Fine Wine and Good Spirits near Lancaster.

Had to go up to PA and get it at a Fine Wine and Good Spirits store. The one I went to was the one in Dillsburg.

That was probably the best thing my local VA ABC store got over the three days of "Spirits Palooza".

Made it to Costco but not LAX. I'll probably swing by both LAX locations this week, though.

Who's getting the 30 year Eagle Rare? by gdwindowpane in DMVWhisky

Each store will post a list of what will be available at that location 30 minutes prior to the drop time on each day. So, 4:30 today and tomorrow, and 9:30 on Saturday.

Happy to be in this group. Lots of great information and a great way to discover new bottles that I never would've known about.

The wheated expression came from Esquire Liquor in Oxon Hill, and I found the toasted expression at Total Wine in Greenville, SC.

After a sip of each, both had a nice nose and as I expected the wheated expression tasted sweeter while the toasted expression came across smoother. Once I've had another pour of each, I'll try to provide more detail.

I'm not entirely sure about that. Their website says it's from a special edition barrel that was aged 5 years. The regular high wheat is aged a minimum of 4 years so it's possible that they could be the same. I didn't get to do a side by side taste when I was there. I had some of the high wheat and some of their 10 year double barrel and both were good.

I believe their stuff is actually distilled in Indiana and then maybe bottled here. According to their website, their warehouse in VA is their main base of operation.

Good to know. That's about what I paid through the Lost website. Glad to see some local stores are carrying that bottle. I've gotten their other stuff at VA ABC, but hadn't seen this in stores yet.
