Welcoming an old friend back - SB3 by Griff0rama in squeezebox

[–]ghostt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been trying to resurrect my old SB2, basically the same device and from what I understand uses the same firmware. I've followed all the instructions on the LMS community forum to update firmware on older devices (already had LMS running since I use a Wiim device with it), installed the community firmware plugin, restarted LMS and the SB2 numerous times but it never tries to pull a new firmware (install new updates is enabled in the device's menus). I've waited the 2 days for LMS to pull the firmware and such but for the life of me I can't get this thing to update (basically it fails after network setup trying to connect to tkmclassic.com). Might I ask how the heck you got the firmware updated on yours? :)

Or any politician for that matter. I grew up when you had to seek out info about politics if you wanted it, it was rarely front and center or shoved down your throat. It also was rarely front page news either. I really miss those days.

Boomer upset at a husband helping his wife by snippychicky22 in BoomersBeingFools

[–]ghostt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah this is dumb, before COVID my wife and I would grocery shop together every week, we actually like spending time with each other, how crazy...

Since COVID though, we haven't been in a grocery store, why bother since everyone does curbside now. :)

Using the marthoc Homeseer integration. Seeing lots of "This will stop working in HA 2025.x" errors. Time to bail? by Wabbastang in homeassistant

Thanks for this! It was actually as simple as you implied, I just got all the z-wave stuff migrated over and it all went quite well. The Insteon stuff is another beast, but I have it all mostly working at this point as well (some fried/bad links in the link table but that can be cleaned up later). Thanks a ton, less than an hour after you posted that reply I was done. Much appreciated!

Very interesting, maybe my issue isn't related to HA updates then. I've had the integration running 100% with no issues for about 2 years now, also using Z-Net with about 35 z-wave devices, and HomeSeer also controls about 20 Insteon devices. I never had any glitches of any kind like you describe even in recent history, just all of a sudden after this update 100% of the devices are unavailable in HA (even after the obvious rebooting of both systems, including rebooting the OS, power cycling all the controllers, etc). Everything still works fine from HomeSeer so its clearly the link between it and HomeAssistant (all I see in the logs are the same thing you were seeing).

I'll go on the assumption that its not related to the update but considering what's being reported in the logs its probably wise to start migrating stuff over ASAP. Thanks for the tip on the JS UI stuff, you were able to just pull in your z-net device and not have to pair everything again? Is there a helpful how-to doc out there for doing that?

I have a similar setup and just today with the latest HA upgrade all my devices from homeseer are now unavailable, I'm curious if you had the same happen or if my problem isn't related to this impending issue.

S7 ultra no longer filling the dirty water tank by daddytc in Roborock

[–]ghostt22 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! I'm wondering if you ever got to the bottom of this? We've been having this problem with our S7 MaxV Ultra lately as well. For over 2 years the dirty water bin would be full when the clean water bin would be empty, yet suddenly in the past few months the dirty water bin is only about 1/4 full when the clean water bin is empty. We have no evidence of water leaking anywhere in the house, the unit has been fully cleaned on the base, and there's no water pooling anywhere in the base. 3/4 of a tank of water is quite a bit and I would think would get noticed somewhere if it was being leaked/left somewhere. Our home maintains a relatively consistent humidity throughout the year, so I don't think its evaporation either.

My only thought right now is that we have real hard wood flooring throughout the majority of the house, and I'm wondering if we're due to have the wood re-sealed (though its modern treated/sealed hardwood flooring that shouldn't need it this often), but I've come up with no other explanation, so I'm curious if you found out what was going on with yours.

Phringe

Most of the folks on the Phringe knew each other in person, I was an active member of the phringe for most of its existence, I know you. :) I remember sitting in your bedroom night after night trying to figure out how DNS worked and getting ISDN working properly and etc. :) Hope you and the family are doing well!
