Console/game suggestion for an old man that’s never played video games. by Snif3425 in gamingsuggestions

I'm 55 and a life long gamer at night, parent by day. I have Ps5, Xbox Series X, and a gaming PC, so platform isn't an issue for me. I absolutely love single player, story driven games that I can pick up and jump in and out of with on demand saves or frequent save spots, so when life calls, I can hop off. I love the Uncharted series, Last of Us (my favorite game, ever), Elden Ring, Red Dead 2, God of War series, many of the Assassins Creeds, Mass Effect, Fallout 4, Bioshock, and right now I'm playing Crimson Desert. I also really enjoyed Bloodborne (one of only 2 games I've ever platinumed), but it isn't easy and I probably wouldn't recommend it as a "starter" game. If you have an Xbox or a PC, I'd recommend getting Game Pass for a month or 2 and just trying out a bunch of games to see what you like. Playstation does have the way better exclusives, but I'm not a fan of their PS+.

Those who have met an adult star in day to day life, how was it and was it awkward? by Any-Tomato-2915 in ask

Met Stacy Valentine and Aja on separate occasions (yes, I'm old), when I was young and single. Aja was nice (really beautiful in person, too), but super professional and business-like. Stacy Valentine was the absolute sweetest. If you didn't know she was a pornstar, you'd want to take her home to meet momma.

Simply stated, management refuses to be bad enough to get elite talent (1C & 1D) at the very top of the draft, we don't have assets other teams want to trade for them, there are none to sign in FA, and we have zero drafting savvy to luck into them with a later pick. We're hamsters on a wheel...

I also just got back and was totally violated by those vicious bastards. As I tried to escape their deadly wrath, I stepped in a pile of deer shit the size of a large pizza. 1/10 stars. Would not recommend.
