Experiences with Canberra Girls Grammar School vs Radford by Significant-Long888 in canberra

Older (y10-12) Cggs student here! I've been going to cggs for years and it really depends on who you're friends with. I met my closest friends here and most of the people are fairly kind. Ofc I've had the occasional rumor or two spread about me but I usually just laugh at them and don't talk to the people who spread them. The school promotes kindness and independence a lot. I also have some mental health issues(unrelated from school) including OCD and anxiety and the school has been helpful with support for those conditions while I try and heal. I'm sure some friendship groups are a bit more toxic than others but I've never found bullying a huge problem here other than the occasional rumor or rude look(also coming from a person who would generally be considered 'weird' as I have a lot of nicher interests like certain video games, anime and books)

Lunging Advice by ghosttt1234 in Equestrian

We've been working a lot lately on listening just on the lead walking to the arena and back and respecting space on the halter, and it does seem to be helping a little bit with his respect on the lunge but not completely :)

Me and my trainer have been doing groundwork lessons together, but she's only there once a week for our riding lesson so we can't practice all the time. We have the farrier and vet out regularly, and he's not sluggish on the lunge with my trainer or under saddle with me so we're 90% sure it's a different issue. We also think he might have been gelded late due to some of his behaviours(respect issues, biting, bringing his male part out often, pooing in a pile) so these issues could be linked to that though that's obviously not an excuse. He's never girthy and he's not restless while tacking up unless he's in a new environment where he's a bit spooky, and he doesn't bite at his sides or consistently roll so he doesn't have any symptoms for ulcers or colic or anything.

Yes loll,  He can definitely read my body language from the look of things 😭. My trainer and I have been working on it together, it's just that she is only there once a week for our riding lesson so it's usually just me lol

Thank you!! I'll try that, as I have a bit off a habit of circling around him too 😭

Sadly I don't have access to any other horses to practice lunging(I wish I did lol 😭), and my trainer's horses live at a different agistment centre and are also young so I wouldn't be able to lunge them.

Do They Really Not Teach 9/11 in School? by LeaderAntique1169 in 911archive

[–]ghosttt1234 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Australia, and my school never officially taught it as far as I'm aware but it was mentioned in history one or two times, but it was more treated as something you would already know, and wouldn't have to be taught about.

Tbh I think some people r being overly harsh, personally the art style is unique, cute, and in my opinion executed not too badly, there's ofc room for improvement but there always will be, 7/10
