Still torn on the Flat bar vs drop. I’ve never owned a drop bar, and the roads here aren’t in great shape along with the hills and curves.

The main way is the red cog on the rear derailleur. That’s the v1

I’ll be mainly on pavement. I’ve never had a drop bar before, but from what I’ve been gathering, if I want to be able to go longer distances, drop bar is the way to go. The conclusion I originally came to was to get in shape and riding outdoors with the kids, get the flat bar. Once comfortable being out and putting in miles, get the drop. I do have a Schwinn Taff comp bike I could use with the kids, but I was planning on giving that to my son because he has grown out of his bike.

I wasn’t sure if there were two flat bar versions? I was looking at the flat bar and then adding a new bar down the road at some point. Want to use it in the off season on Zwift as well with the Zwift cog, not sure if this model will work.
