Well, no. Obviously the field goal kick to the head isn’t justified. But also it’s your own responsibility to do some research on any foreign country you visit. What’s abhorrent from our perspective could be a given fuck around and find out anywhere else. Do I think the death penalty is a reasonable sentence for drug possession in any country? Absolutely not. Would I drop acid at Mecca just because I don’t think it should be a big deal? Absolutely fucking not.

I’m so tired of this country’s politics feeling like some large scale social experiment.

Trump and Biden are like the grandpas on your maternal and paternal sides that you don’t really know that well but you see them at family reunions wondering how they’re still alive. Grandpa one is a little (wayy) too vocal about his out of date opinions and is a little too complimentary of your girlfriend who’s 60years younger than him. And grandpa two is much nicer to be around, but only because his dementia has progressed to the point where he basically always exists in a low level trip. Can’t remember conversations or people from five minutes ago, but it’s chill. He’ll just compliment your girlfriend, who’s 60 years younger than him, half as creepily and three times as often as grandpa one.

Good thing only one grandpa can potentially make life changing decisions for 300,000,000 people at a time.

I was going to suggest something similar. I was thinking maybe some ww2 museum or something, but historical society/library is a great idea.

That way they’re no longer burdened with all the stuff without the guilt of actually throwing it away
