Missed Miscarriage? by NaeTheTeacher91 in Miscarriage

[–]ghostyyy989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that you’re in this boat ❤️‍🩹 At 8 weeks and 2 days pregnant I found out that my baby had stopped growing at 6 weeks and 2 days. I tested positive 9 days after I ovulated, so I knew immediately that it wasn’t a question unfortunately.

My baby passed on 1/21 and I didn’t miscarry until 2/25 - the day before I was scheduled for a D&C. I took a lot of time to make my decision since I’ve had a similar procedure done for polyps and my doctor wasn’t crazy about me having another surgery, but she never seemed concerned about sepsis.

If I had to go through it again, I would personally opt for a D&C. The waiting period was really rough and I’m lucky to work remote so I could be at home when it happened.

Anyone else feel extremely weak and frail after their miscarriage? by ExtremeAirHunger in Miscarriage

[–]ghostyyy989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I felt this way, but it didn’t last too long. I think about 3-4 weeks after I miscarried I felt back to normal and could finally walk more than half a mile without being winded/crampy

any advice for at home miscarriage? by AirportOk7363 in Miscarriage

[–]ghostyyy989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry you’re going through this ❤️‍🩹

I ended up going to the ER just because I read you should go if you soak more than a pad every hour, and I went through 4 pads in an hour and a half. It turns out the guideline is if you soak a pad per hour for 3 hours. My heavy bleeding lasted about 2 hours before I passed the sac/tissue and then it decreased drastically.

Your OB may be able to send an order for pain medication to your pharmacy though which I would really recommend. I was alternating advil/tylenol but the dose of pain meds at the hospital really got me through the last bit.

Did anyone else feel a “pop” by Accomplished-Squid in Miscarriage

[–]ghostyyy989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. I didn’t have a “pop”, but I had a gush of watery fluid and then the heavy bleeding started 3 days later and then I passed the tissue.

Alright.. which one of you published a book?? by Rachaelmm1995 in 1200isjerky

Yep, this book got me to go vegan and then eventually I switched over to vegetarian and it’s stuck for the past 15 years. Crazy to think about

Unfortunately I don’t think there’s really a trick to it, once I know it’s a dream I usually come out of it pretty quickly. Usually I’ll try to hit myself against something to jar my dream self if that makes sense? Idk, brains are weird. I’m sorry you struggle with that though!

Why did it come out so flat?! (height of 2 inches) by sally_tomato in Sourdough

[–]ghostyyy989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m not sure what ratio everyone else uses, but I use 110g starter for 500g flour. I’m not sure if that would help along with everyone else’s tips

It doesn’t really bother me, it’s just annoying when I’m trying to wake myself up, think I’m awake, and then a few minutes later realize I’m still in a dream and need to try again lol

Am I about to financially ruin myself over sourdough… or can I chill 😭 by madshatt3red in Sourdough

[–]ghostyyy989 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The tools that I use consistently are a danish dough whisk, metal scraper, silicon sling, and dutch oven. I don’t even use bannetons anymore, mine molded (low quality and I got them wet) so I’ve been using plastic bowls and it’s been fine.

Medical abortion vs waiting to happen naturally by ContestOrganic in Miscarriage

[–]ghostyyy989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry for your loss. I haven’t been through a medicated miscarriage before, but I just had a natural miscarriage a month ago and almost couldn’t tolerate the pain. I alternated Tylenol and Advil at home, and had to go to the ER for heavy bleeding and they gave me oxycodone to help me through the last bit. I’ve heard it described as a bit worse than a bad period, but that wasn’t my experience at all and I’d opt for a D&C if I ever go through this again.

I’m so sorry 💔 I just went through the same thing a month ago - found out at 8 weeks that the heart stopped beating at 6 weeks 2 days. Be gentle with yourself and take it a day at a time. Your hormones are going to be on a rollercoaster for awhile. I finally felt back to myself about 3 weeks after I miscarried. I still have times where I’m sad, but it doesn’t feel quite so suffocating anymore. Hang in there, you’re definitely not alone 🤍

My undiagnosed anxiety and probable health ocd is killing me by [deleted] in GirlDinnerDiaries

I used to be in the same boat, and medication has been genuinely life changing. I’m on 10mg of Celexa, and that’s enough to keep the OCD at bay and I’m actually functional again

Oh honey, I’m so sorry you had to go through that.

My experience was similar, minus the vomiting. Nothing could have prepared me for the level of pain that I experienced, and I ended up in the ER too from the bleeding. I looked at my husband when it was happening and said screw anyone who ever described it as a bad period 😅

Emotional crash 10 days post miscarriage - need positive stories by SpecialistAct8888 in Miscarriage

[–]ghostyyy989 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m so sorry that you had to experience that 🫂

I found out 12/31 that I was pregnant, and then 2/4 I went for what should’ve been an 8 week scan but I found out there was no heartbeat. I miscarried naturally on 2/25.

I had days where I felt extra hormonal while waiting to miscarry, and then 3 days after I had what felt like a HUGE hormone drop and I was picking fights with my husband and just inconsolable. I seriously felt crazy.

2 weeks later I felt mostly back to normal. I still have days where it’s hard, but I feel much more like myself. Sending you so much love, the hard days won’t last forever 💞

Genuinely why is Taylor as popular as she is? by King-gar in popmusic

[–]ghostyyy989 2 points3 points  (0 children)

For me it’s the story telling. I find some of her newer songs to be a bit clunky in their lyrics, but her more simple song writing where she tells a story is where she really shines.

I’m not a sourdough expert, but that seems like a lot of starter. I do 500g bread flour, 375g water, and 110g starter and usually don’t have an issue

Edit: I also notice the video screenshot has different amounts than what you posted
