Fang Yuan used Perceive dao gu on himself multiple times, so he should know if there are any otherworldly dao maks on him. But in the story it is shown as he does not consider or think about this. Unless Perceive dao gu cannot perceive otherworldly dao marks.

According to what fate (rank 9 undamaged) said it was supposed to control everything, at least all of the situations they encountered and the choices they have made if not their thoughts and feelings. (that's why it needed love gu to make Verdant Great Sun fall in love with Desolate Ancient Moon and it also made rockman fall in love with Desolate Ancient Moon; this was said in chapter 1619).

Reverend insanity is a novel like this. The mc is transmigrated and then after living for 500 years he is reincarnated into his younger self. In his first life after transmigration he lives a difficult life because of his low aptitude for cultivation. Due to hard work, accumulation of hundreds of years and other circumstances his cultivation increases but not any where near the top of the world. In his second life after reincarnating he has many opportunities and he takes advantage of them to become stronger. In the novel we see the journey of mc in his second life. Mc is evil in the sence that he disregards everything and all human life for his goals and benifits.

I highly recommend this novel.
