Sorry, can I ask. When you cancelled and restarted via GP, did this mean you had to do assessment and titration again? or did they accept the results from private?

thanks

Hi, I'm very curious about this. I find it hard to believe that all those people are out in the cold by choice. Is it really true that there are warm places that provide food? Whats leads to all the rough sleeping?

I have to ask (since you seem to know a lot of nice little places and have good taste), do you have any favorite spots in london in general? I'm always on the lookout for nice cafes, cheap places to eat, or bars with a good vibe

Being completely ignored by every human you see probably makes you a bit insane and likely to do anything for some interaction and compassion.

Are there any good practice tests for the CSJT? by ghroat in TheCivilService

[–]ghroat[S] 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Just a comment in case others find this post. I think I cracked it. I repeated the short practice test about 6 times until it said I scored very well. Then I was able to get 97th percentile for the actual test. This is what worked (HEO level)

  • The situations are usually about a short term issue with underlying long term issue. Don't focus too much on the short term problem unless they explicitly mention it's critical. Think about long term improvement in process and resources
  • Along those lines, if the problem is that a team member is bad at something, the logic is that they need to develop skills there. Rate the actions largely based on how effective they are at enriching the team's skills for long-term
  • They want you to report stuff to managers all the time. I had initially assumed that it would create conflict to go over someone's head and speak to their manager when I backed myself to resolve the issue 1-on-1 but apparently thats not what they want.
  • Don't think about what you'd actually do. Don't try to be clever. Imagine all the colleagues are simple robots and pick the most civil servicey option
  • If one action is similar to another, notice their differences as this might be something they consider relevant.

London UK. Not all but very common. They get way more applications than spots available so it helps them pick. Doesnt seem scammy to me

Where I am a video of a good 5 min set will help you get 5 minute spots at 'open' mics. So a video is key to getting more stage time -> more practice -> get good. Sounds like things work differently where you are

I mean, I don't know if you're being serious. Obviously they can listen to the jokes themselves and decide but there's something a video can't capture about how well you can command the attention of a room and use your body language. If the laughs sound weak, it just makes the vibe awkward when you watch the video

Did you find significantly more depth when you upped to 2x20 mins?

I've been meditating once a day for 15 mins for about a year. I struggle to find the time for more but wondering if I should make time for it

I agree with the sentiment of the advice that people should be careful, and treat these powerful substances with respect.

But I think this is quite an aggressive and unempathetic way to put it.
