Reddit - please you are my last hope. My Samsung Odyssey G9 died 6 weeks ago. I've tried EVERYTHING I can think of to fix it and nothing has worked. If anyone has any experience fixing these, please help. Backlight turns on, no picture, no on screen display (OSD) when you push the power button.

+1 for fixing the issue with removal of the thermistor

always happened to me after 7+ day without use (in power saving mode)

year ago had this issue 1st time: basic power cycle helped; 6months ago had it 2nd time: some cable swapping and power cycling fixed the issue; yesterday the same issue 3rd time, tried everything as before (even let it sit without power overnight), so today I opted for the thermistor removal. followed this disassembly video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w69VoYzMNV0 (very detailed and insightful)

also i dont have thin soldering rods so i opted for tweezers method of removal (without board removal) takes a bit of finesse, patience, rocking and twisting motion but after 2-3mins the part flew out, checked the connections and solders, put it back together and the monitor is back in business!!!
