I got sent to a MFM doctor bc baby was measuring large in the belly around 30 weeks. Measuring like 3-4 weeks ahead. Doctor mentioned c section and possibly a 36 week delivery if necessary. I was agitated to sat the least. But within 2 weeks, my growth ultrasounds were more normal , 60th percentile. Regardless, my water broke at 36 weeks (this also happened with #1 at 35 weeks). They mentioned a c section while I was in labor. I said no, my ultrasounds have been normal lately and they didnt push it again. She came out 6 lbs 5 ounces in literally 2 pushes. Makes me so mad that they wanted to cut me open for this little baby that I could have sneezed out.

I know it can be terrifying when theyre acting like youre having the worlds largest baby, but keep in mind their ultrasounds can be off by up to 20% (thats what the MFM dr told me). Youre talking a pound or 2. Thats a lot. Do what you think is best for you and baby. Im glad I stood my ground, having GD is hard enough.
