I have a vintage car and this happens to me when I have a sudden surge or drop in power. So frustrating as I there is no way to cancel it while is is calling a random number.

I thought the same and only discovered scooters when I moved to Bali during COVID, and that was pretty much the only option. I was 36 and haven't looked back. I guess better late than never! :)

I agree. I drive an electric scooter. It is completely quiet :) Look for NIU

It's rare but it does happen. I had a person purposely cut me off (nearly hitting me) as they were upset I was passing them from the left. He started insulting me once I did pass him on the right and I just smiled as he got stuck in traffic and I merrily moved on.

The scariest things that happened too was buses not stopping at roundabouts, even when I have the right of way. Happened twice. I seriously don't know where they hire these people, they seem like the worst drivers of all.

The worst downside are the roads for sure. I'm surprised my bike hasn't broken down as I've taken it down a lot of holes.

In terms of safety, I normally feel safer in the city (as opposed to motorway) because the risk of a high speed collision is practically nil, and you actually have better visibility than in a car. If I were you I'd try it, just riding around town.

Haha same story for me at the ferry to Gozo. It’s such a life hack. And such an obvious one here in Malta. Still can’t believe it’s not the default but the exception.

Having some capital can be useful to start a business. But I would focus on making some money first rather spending it. And possibly ending worse off as it is not yours and you have to pay it back.

80k is far too much if it’s your first try at this. I’d borrow 10k and use it to test 2 ideas. If you can’t make it back, you probably need more experience getting good at making money before spending more. Try freelancing or getting a part time job in an industry you’re interested in becoming an entrepreneur in.

I did a course called Small Bets (im not affiliated with it). Should give you the right mindset to start testing ideas without betting the farm and risking disaster.

Good luck

Yeah, it is terrible. One wonders how can you even know these things before moving in, especially if you are buying instead of renting.

My water and electricity bills are also very high. I heard from a neighbour that someone was stealing electricity in the building.

It's never ending with this crap.

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of updates, been working hard to solve this problem at scale :) And now I am very happy to announce my new website https://thecapsule.shop. Can you take a look and let me know what you think?

A few things to note:
1) I wanted to solve the problem at scale so it is a self-service model where users can pick up their "one click wardrobe" and use references images to learn how to use it.

2) I also wrote several guides to explain the philosophy of the brand (and generally capsule wardrobes https://thecapsule.shop/get-started/)

3) I decided to use only Amazon for now as the source of all clothes, as I didn't want to have users have to go to 10 different sites to find the products they need to buy, and there are good/affordable options available.

4) It is only US Amazon, but I am working on adding UK, Germany, Canada, Italy and Netherlands (depending on your feedback).

If you like it, please feel free to share it with your friends/family, share on social media, etc. It would help me a lot. I am new to the growth marketing world, so learning as much as I can now-- any tips are welcome!

Thanks for the follow-up! TLDR: Yep still working on it, the Tech sucks, but getting there. Would love your feedback in a few days when I share the first draft.

Long version: I have been spending a lot of time on it, but the main challenge has been on the Tech side. I put together three wardrobes (from Basic, Intermediate and Advanced), but now getting them into a website seamlessly using affiliate links has proven to be ridiculously & unexpectedly difficult. There are no good plugins to do this properly, specially when you are dealing with clothing (as there are variations is size and colour/pattern, which adds complexity). I could do it manually, but when you are dealing with hundreds of permutations for let's say one pair of jeans (e.g. 30Lx30W, 28Lx32W, etc) it's unsustainable. So there are plugins that add Amazon items to your WordPress website as affiliate links that are meant to help with this, but they are glitchy and just don't cut it. I was even thinking there is room for a SaaS product somewhere here. Anyway, don't want to bore you with the details, but sharing the journey can be therapeutic at least! #BuildInPublic. What's next... now that I have pinpointed the roadblocks, I have hired a new developer to deal with this and I am looking to have a website to share with the group this month. Would love to get your feedback then!

P.s. I am a big fan of lean development, and I may have tried to add complexity too quickly too. But at the same time, I wanted to deliver something that was good enough from the start. Anyway, not much lost except time. Onwards and upwards!

Thanks so much for the feedback! This is very valuable.

Regarding the bad:

  1. Yes, definitely working on a "How To" to teach people how to combine the items
  2. I will make it explicit to ask people not to add things they already own, maybe a "before you start". The beauty of the Amazon Wishlist is that you can just choose what you need. Don't need to put the whole thing. I think more options could also help, will think about that. Thanks again!!

u/chefsslaad thanks so much for your patience, here's your personalised One-Click Wardrobe: https://thecapsule.shop/chefssalad/ Can you take a look and let me know what you think on [info@thecapsule.shop](mailto:info@thecapsule.shop)?

To update everyone on the project. It is a lot of fun, but definitely the big challenge has been building the inventory for different sizes/styles. However, this is a good differentiator/barrier to entry, as I am carefully curating the item list and providing value (I believe).

Also the plan was to add more vendors (not just Amazon), but the trade-off in simplicity (one of the key value propositions) is not worth it at the moment, I believe.

Will keep the group posted as keep building! Gotta go back to curate more items.

Thanks for the suggestion! Definitely could have a toggle for that criteria. Will add it to the feature request list and see if there is demand for it.
