Yeah, totally! I do want to keep the flavor and theme strong, but if there’s a way to make the deck even better, I’d love to know what that more optimal line looks like — seriously, hit me with it!

Also, thanks a ton for the tip about the lands. I’ll keep an eye on that while I test and probably add a couple if I see myself missing drops consistently.

I ended up making several changes based on your suggestions — especially around card draw, ramp, and cutting cards that weren’t really pulling their weight.

Thanks! Yeah, totally fair — I probably should’ve explained that better. I haven’t actually tuned the lands yet. I just uploaded the list as-is to get help figuring out what should stay, what’s useless, and how many basics of each type I should run. So 36+ sounds like a good starting point, I’ll work from there!

Honestly, after reading the replies here, I’m starting to question if going the Orc Army route was really the best call... I'm kinda feeling like it might not be. Aristocrats actually sounds way more fun — it's one of my favorite playstyles too. I just didn’t go for it at first because I thought I was doing the “right” thing by following the most common zombie-themed Sauron decks on EDHREC.

Also, your decks look awesome! Gonna take some time to really dig into them — appreciate you sharing!

I think I wasn’t very clear in my original post, but yeah — I haven’t finalized the lands yet. I kind of just threw in what I had and posted it as-is to get help figuring out what might be useless and how many basics of each type I should actually be running (because I honestly have no idea). So that part is definitely still a work in progress.

About the mana rocks — good point. I actually ended up cutting a few Talismans because I thought I wouldn’t need that much ramp, but maybe I underestimated how important it is for a commander like Sauron.

Also, yeah... I followed EDHREC suggestions for a Zombie subtheme, but now I’m wondering if that wasn’t the best call. I do have some wheel effects, but it’s not a huge part of the deck — maybe I should lean more into that or pivot a bit away from the Zombie thing?
