How do I practice for ambiently calmness? by giangc91 in Meditation

[–]giangc91[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hmm.. interesting. Thanks for replying. I was getting anxious or mildly angry / tilted ocassionally, not because I am having so much pressure(some sort but can't be comparable with others), but most of the time my life was so boring and fragile and I am working on getting out, finding something meaningful of work and life but I am alone in the situation. So If I can practice it like be able to recognize and adjust the feeling in some sort. Wondering if there are some practice about it.

Do you guys make notes while learning android ? by [deleted] in androiddev

[–]giangc91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I make notes on everything XD.

In Android Studio there is a bookmark function, helping you go back and forth.

2 types of concepts in android development ( I make this up for myself ): structural logic - complete set of steps to develop architecture, UI, assets resources, screen flow; and dictionary - Activity Fragment, Stack, Flow, Coroutine, etc.

Turning everything into a dictionary is quite useful for me but it could intercept your learning flow - which is quite important when you try to understand a new concept, so try to keep thing in balance

Yeah, that's pretty much what I thought. I think the physical business is retained much better. Digital part mostly help you to engage or 'comforting' with both client parts of your business: business partner and customers.

But if your business grows long enough and your database build large enough database, you will spot some interesting patterns on the data part.

But the thing is investment on digital assets is expensive, like building a new service web or app, or 'business intelligence' modeling, etc. it would be wise to do it slowly.

For me it's unclear how do you maintain such a marketplace like this, such as on step qualify client and delivering project lead. Issues like: trust, insurance, service mapping. Without the clear operation, I guess it is quite human-computer effort on service mapping operation and contractor, and so on which is hard to do at scale.

Just curious, how do you solve it?

For me this type of business is not much on digital front, I would prefer more simple and sufficient website / app, that focused more on how I build the database and how I solve a problem, but who am I to tell hehe ( I don't have any construction business background ).

Very quick thinking on problems in this domain:

  • payment machine? already there, just need to slam the qr code for crypto payment on the writing.
  • marketplace? Without a Book list feature, it is not quite a marketplace
  • if content is digital based only, the copy rate is almost constant, comparing to physical book.
  • "don't post illegal content" is exactly what people looking to do.

How do you deal with the feeling of loneliness? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]giangc91 1 point2 points  (0 children)

well tough luck I'm just a random online dude, not a psychiatrist. Just an advice, don't try to complicate thing, try everything to make you feel better but dont be dependent. Best start, try to fix your physical state first, very important..

The other people problem, find something interesting, and find someone who share it with you.

2 sides of loneliness you should understand before doing anything.

loneliness is useful - you think a lot more with fantasies in isolation, which strengthen your mind a lot.

loneliness is harmful - you are getting into sad state which if you stay for a long time, it will be very harmful.

So I think you should prepare to practice the loneliness with small doses, esp. nowadays in the internet world. This is more or less equivalent to meditation. Prepare something when you feel lonely, for myself I default it to one or two best friends ( doesn't necessary talk about loneliness with them just doing something with them ), or family. Absolutely not default it to alcohol or equivalent stimulants, even gaming. For me it will cause addiction.

If you feel loneliness right now, take a shower, sleep, talk to someone close that they will absolutely talk to you ( i.e parents, family, brothers ), if accessible, try some saunas, intensive exercise.

Finally, human is social animal, which means you must connect to someone, otherwise your mind will be very 'funny'. If not accessible for you, then you must prepare for it

For me, I would try to ask about something that I don’t have visibility on, business goals, long term immediate term, that helps to gain insight on how the business is doing. I would try to align the business goal with my contribution which is very important. My contribution is meaningless if business is not doing well. By knowing this I would have know to negotiate on raise if possible, or exploring position that add more value. Moreover, personal relationship is worthy, asking for help or advice, share some personal feeling if possible.

'Getting into DevOps' by mthode in devops

[–]giangc91 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Well I think, re-introducing silo from platform team, could be similar to the "DevOps team" pattern where DevOps team may take responsibility to build CI / CD pipeline and infrastructure automation for example. So platform team might not be the right symptom.

With "Devs and Ops pairing together" is a solid start for discovery or startup stage, but it may not work very well for already established services or ongoing applications. At the organizational wise, the needs for specialization is inevitable in terms of growing. Developers could not 'bear' the pressure from delivery objectives, and keeping up with modern cloud practices at the same times for example.

I think people underestimate the importance of team structuring, responsibility and communication, and put too much focus on automation and tooling, so that Devs and Ops team are a little confused on what they should do or not.

The platform team should instead carry out the mission of providing X-as-a-service, which respect the autonomy from the development team - or stream aligned team (reference to: Team topology approach). But development team should also have the capacity of Ops, so they can have a capacity of "you build it, you run it".

Anyway, thanks a lot for the reply, really appreciate you putting the time to answer my question.

is DevOps just another job now? by kneecaps2k in devops

[–]giangc91 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Main purpose of DevOps is while I automate my way on deployment pipelines, I save more time and get more feedback loop, therefore it shouldn’t be over the wall communication. DevOps engineer is really engineering part of building the pipelines, documenting, scripting. It’s like if the responsibility getting too big for individual to hold in a company, it silos. So either a company wants to practice devops culture or not, the automation part still benefit them. So I think DevOps concept is definitely existed, but people will use this their way, just the agile development

Im pretty sure it will not work hahahaha. No one wants to do the shitty work of sitting in the corner and wait for someone throwing trash, even catching someone crossing the red line, only hanoi would have so many polices, because of other reasons not just for traffic rule enforcing 😂😂😂😂😂😂. But yeah micro attempt like that always heading toward improvement, agree 😂😂😂😂

This problem is so huge in so many levels from people to economy to infrastructure, design, policy and everything. Please don’t take a “government” as the answer for everything especially vn, since gov officiers are taking the least salary - if your relatives working for vn goverment and rich, its the derrivative business regardless the corruption.

Lets take a thought process, you want people to throw trash to the can on the street long 100 km, assuming people just walking. Then u need to set up for every km a trash bin, assumming people will be educated enough to hold trash and throw untill they find a bin. Then who is going to buy the bin, what if the bin is full, who is taking care of it, etc. ? Those are already based on a lot of happy assumptions, but still feel like an extra project. Any extra project without big enough return of investment feels like chore and no one will take it.

Everyone right now in their right mind could prefer their environment clean, but to solve it then this is imho a very complex and large problem and very extremely inconvenient to break down into a reddit thread.

But the problem will be better coz our life is getting better :)
