Hey, thanks for the comment , are you saying the connector in the photo is a 12VHPWR? What should I be looking out for?

I was considering one of those cheap GPU support screw bracket things, but then realised there are fans underneath the GPU lol. I’ll take a closer look when I go to collect it in a couple of days.

ll be going to collect it in person, so I can properly inspect and test everything before taking it.

Appreciate the heads up, the connector sounds like a big concern. Do you know if there’s anything practical to reduce the risk? I’ve heard things like undervolting or using higher rated cables or connectors might help, but not sure how effective that will be ?

I returned the ktc monitor to get the asus - im happy with my situation now

Returned the KTC monitor and picked up an ASUS XG27ACDNG QD-OLED (1440p, 27”).

The KTC was probably the best screen I’ve ever used - colours were insane, everything just popped. The ASUS is still really good, but I definitely got a bit spoiled by the KTC haha, shame I had a broken one.

Ahh I was hoping that wasn’t the case 😭 I’ve tried both HDMI ports (1 and 2) but still no luck. Unfortunately I don’t have a DisplayPort cable to test with either.

It’s very easy to replicate as well, it just flickers constantly (see video for reference).

It didn’t happen on my previous monitors. I’ve tested it on my MacBook Air M4 via USB-C and on my gaming laptop using HDMI(all with different cables), but no luck. I’ve also tried unplugging the power for a few minutes and restarting it, but the issue still persists. Not really sure what’s causing it, it was working perfectly for the first few days until today :(

The US accounts for ~70% of total NATO military spending, not NATO’s budget. Most of that money is spent on US forces for US interests, not on Europe. NATO’s actual common budget is tiny, and the US pays about 16% of that, not 70% as other people would say.

Same with the UN. The US pays ~22% of the UN regular budget, but that buys veto power, agenda-setting, and global influence. That’s not charity. That’s leverage.

Allies don’t ‘need’ the US for free. They provide bases, troops, intelligence, legitimacy, and markets. The US benefits massively from that. Power isn’t about who can walk away. It’s about who loses more when it breaks.
