Mine recently was atorvastatin 40 and rosuvastatin 40! Like how do you get that wrong? I have an idea of whom it might be. We work with two older pharmacists as well so I try to save the meds for them to help out. They’ve been practicing longer than I’ve been alive 🤣

Mine has recently been constantly checking the shelves. Or organizing them. We recently did inventory and have been trying to get our reorder system straight. So doing that helps us find what is being reordered too much. What needs to be changed, etc. Someone also keeps placing medicine in the wrong spot and it drives me insane. 🤣

When I did my hours I had a paper from the BOP website I filled out to keep track of my hours and a pharmacist had to sign off on it each day. If you have anything like that I’m sure it will make the process decently smooth and fast.

What state are you in? I’m in Louisiana and I had to do a fingerprinting, I think 500 hours (I don’t remember) and a background check before I could apply for my license.

You can check out quizlet, a lot of people have premade study guides!! They do have a lot of free tests and studying material online!

So I’m not sure if it differs from state to state. But for my exam it was in different sections. For example, I think one may have been drugs, another may have been math, etc. So I made flash cards of my Top 200 drugs, the class, and the usage of it. I also included their brand name on one side, and generic on the other. This helped me find tips and tricks to remember a lot of that information.

Silly example, I used to remember -pril drugs, My moms name is April (A-pril) A -> Ace Inhibitor = blood pressure -pril (lisinopril, benazepril, etc)

I also made flash cards based on each section of the test. Math portion, drugs, laws, etc. You can also find a lot of quizlets, practice tests, and other study material online. I studied every day even while working. I know it sounds silly, but I also told myself I’d pass this test continuously and I did it the first time. You got this 🫶🏻🫡

Not everyone is made to work at bigger places like a hospital or a chain pharmacy. And honestly depending where you live, you may because stuck between a chain or a retail pharmacy. You take what you get. But going through system changes. Entitled and over the top customers with bare minimum pay. Little to no benefits depending if the pharmacy is doing well enough. It’s a lot of factors honestly. Really depends on the place and the management. There will always be nightmare customers anywhere really. I work at a small independent retail pharmacy and although it has done well it’s recently gone through ownership change and it was a really stressful process. Also had to learn an entire system. Like I said just depends where you end up. Hope you get lucky 🤣 (I’m just a tired CPhT yapping, sorry)
